The GP Cyclistes in it`s 2nd edition since fusioning the GP Montreal and Quebec. Still a pure puncheur event though and C1 rated means all PCT and CT teams can enter and most top puncheurs of the two divisions are here.
From last years top10 a lot are here again with the finishers between 2nd and 6th in Ben Nasser, LLS, Di Maggio, Klemme (from CT) and McCarthy.
First stage with an uphill finish, second stage with a flat finish but tougher climbs. In the end being great on hills should be most important but having a decent sprint could also help hence some punchy sprinters are here as well.

Think I sent a pretty loaded team here, competition between us and the control team should be fierce. So lets get some breakaways going and hope for the best, because we aren't going to win anything here by normal means.

Always going to expect a packed startlist here, but LLS had two spare race days, wasn't really expecting much, but after Portugal I'm worried we might have to have some higher expectations in these races, but we'll see how it goes.
Thanks for the preview Roturn!

That is some tough competition for Waeytens, I hope he can bring home a few points, but if you're last on the startlist you know it's going to be hard.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Cunego will continue his hills campaign here in Canada, looking for a good performance, top 5 would be the goal, won't settle for another passive race like Beijing though.

Banking on this to make up for the lack of points in USPCC, and Dowsett will be the out and out leader. We have our strongest team backing him up as well, so let's hope he can do the same to what he did in the ToSA and mix it up with the PCT guys

Quite some pressure on Di Maggio to save us August. We still need around 140 points to make at least our PPRD-average for the month... impossible without the GC podium.

Not expecting a lot, but hoping for Vastaranta to find his rare magic legs in a late attack.

I don't really remember why I didn't pick this, probably because of how shit the AI was last year when I reported it Looking at the field I'm not sure I regret it tho...

How come we join the break when we actually do have a chance?
Bad performance by LLS but at least he didn't lose time to anybody except the winner. Not expecting a better stage tomorrow though, our team has been racing pretty terribly recently.
Gratz Valv and thank Roturn!

How many races has Kinoshita lost this year? He's been unbelievably good so far. Congrats valv, hope you still have a chance to promote.

Pretty good start that. Ideally Bellis can move into the top 10 on the second stage and Gautier remain in the top 5, but barring a disaster this should hopefully be a nice race for us. |

I think he has missed the podium once or twice in all the hilly classics he has raced so far this year. Of stage races I think he has gotten a top 5 on atleast 90% of hilly stages, or around there, so he's been unbelievably consistent.
Edit: He won Gisborne which was his first race of the year. 3rd at Ringerike GP which was his 2nd race of the year. Tour of Japan he came 4th on stage 3 (hilly stage) and won stage 5 (hilly stage), which got him 3rd in the GC in the end. Came 5th at Scandinavia Open, 8th at Nelspruit, won stages 1,3,4 and the GC at Beijing and now this stage. Thats his season so far.

Well think our whole team should be looking for the breakaway tomorrow at least.

Happy with the result for Dowsett, who just misses out on a Top 10 on GC. Neither finish really suited him, so having the ability to be up there at the end is nice. Gives me some hope for a good ToB
Thanks for the reports roturn

I am really glad this month is finished At the very least Honkisz did something which I haven't seen before.
Thanks for the reports Roturn and congrats to Dev and Valverde on their results
