A prologue below my hopes, but that stage was really a no show. Horrible stuff.

Seems like the sprint field is too strong for Holst Enger for him to freelance himself into contention for a top 5, which was to be expected seeing the startlist. Congratulations on the win, beagle. Degenkolb figured it out perfectly in a rather chaotic finish, unlike his TdF showing.
And thank you for the report, matt17br! |

Congrats beagle for a well deserved win after the Degenkolb TdF debacle.
Thanks matt for this nice report and unfortunately my sprint train apparently was not in ideal order as Sbaragli proabably was not last rider seeing his position. It was a bit late it seems and hence not able to attack Degenkolb properly. |

Coquard in 8th is about what I could hope to get here, so i'm content with that. Thought for a second that Cooper was going to lose 2nd in the GC when the sprinters decided to take bonifications, but luckily they shared them and also kept from taking many points. If Coppel can take another 2nd tomorrow we are in a good spot for a top 3 in the points competition also.
I fear it will be about Daily form though, and Vlatos are usually not good at these long timetrials, so I fear that he will stay around 20-30th in the GC which would be hopeless.
Sad to see Ford drop today. He was always a gamble for the GC, but he could have made the top 15.

Well... with Vesely crashing my only hope for a decent result was Howard and he quite obviously failed with such a strong sprint field that is present here. So likely this race is going to be a disaster for my team after I sold all my decent time trialists. One sprint stage left to get at least a decent place for Howard.
Btw an interesting fact: The liquer producer and my main sponsor Becherovka is produced in Karlovy Vary where ended the 2nd stage, where will the long TT be raced and where will be placed the start of the last stage of this race. My sponsor has to be really happy with the show my boys are providing here.

Keizer still sucks.
At least a top10 here but I honestly had hoped for a top5 but this was lost already in the prologue and today was a bit of getting something out of the race.
Though only Swift winning the final stage would make it a good race now as the lineup of Keizer-Swift-Boom surely should do better than right now. |

Very nice TT report again. Thank you, matt17br!
Kind of slightly surprised to see the top three play out as most expected, given the randomness the TTs at times have had this season. Congratulations, jt1109! |

Decent again from Howson and Dempster. Cool to see such a close battle on such a long time trial! Great report matt.
Congrats to jt. Always good to see at TT where the best TT riders battle it out.

Another 2nd is both fine and expected. Easy money in the betting section...
Vlatos did much better today, although it wasn't great. I'm still very uncomfortable regarding him and stage 4.
Bernaudeau a bit worse than expected, while Bouet is on par. Overall pretty good. If we can manage to keep the riders together and not crash or drop in splits we are happy with the result. Now to see if Coquard can do anything in the final stage.
Congrats on the win RBC. Definately a great race for them! |

Well, I feared that Vlatos would drop, but it is some sad 59 points to lose to be honest... Also Bernaudeau's 15 was lost.
Coquard were perfectly positioned, but did a "Howard" also and dropped back.
Oh well, on the positive side Coppel got his second here, and Bouet also did better than anticipated. But those 65 points or so I lost in the final stage is probably meaning that Becherovka is still leading.
It was a heavy blow for Vesuvio also though as Kittel dropped back, while only Jungels moved up a bit.
The big winnerss after this stage are surely Puma, Aegon and Movistar.

It says a lot about my expectations in this race that eventhough my best rider finishes 65th and we've not attempting anything on the two flat stages I'm still satisfied with this race due to having the youth jersey for a stage.
It's annoying how my guys never join any breaks though. It's going on all season long already
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Nice last stage for me. Swift as I asked for took the stage to get stage points in after the failed TTs.
Keizer moving up 1 spot is nice and 6th might not be top5 but as close as it could be. Boom in top20 as well was wanted.
Frison and Vandewalle both lose a bit of time on that stage but less than many others, which still sees them in top50.
A bit of a pity for those that lose 4+min such as Zmorka, Vlatos, Kittel etc.
Thanks matt for excellent and steady reporting! |

Thank you for the report, matt17br
Cool to see Lunke up front, must admit I didn't think he's strong enough for such adventures. Pretty intense racing, and good to see the wind play a part. Congratulations on the stage, roturn, and also big congratulations to jt1109 on an important overall win! |

Decent sprint. A shame about Howson being dropped, but at least Dempster managed to move some places up in the GC.
Thanks for all the reports, matt

Hoepd we can cause more stir, but there times you couldn't find the right wheel to follow. At least Aregger and van Zandbeek did their homework and Al Col gets an honorable mention for his fight against the broom waggon.
Gratz to RBC and thanks for the great coverage, matt!
