Very solid performance by Kritskiy so far, hopefully he can keep this up!

Great reports so far for the Tour, roturn! Entertaining read as always, and all the big guns are still up there after a difficult punchy stage

Ah crap. I really dont need Bernaudeau injured before the TTT - the one stage he was brought here for. Losing additional time today indicates that he could well be injured. I just have to hope for the others to step up, as it would suck not to win the TTT because of crashes to key riders. Atleast my team AI seems reasonable so far. Could well fuck things up on the important stage 9 however, Where we need Spilak in yellow to stand a chance at winning the race.

Hum, that must be one of the weirdest decisions made by AI in the MG. By far the most bizarre considering my own team, at least. I could have understood it if Nesset actually was a decent GC rider who could realistically fight for at least a top 10, maybe a top 15, but he's at best a top 30 contender Hopefully he isn't injured, as if he's not, I can hope for breakaway participation in the mountains.
Pity to waste a chance for Kristoff like that. On the other hand his sprinting and positioning so far was bad, but it would be nice to see him at least try.
Thank you for the report, roturn, and congratulations on another stage win! |

Yet another confirmation of Cio's consistency, there wasn't much more to achieve here with the first two being gone early and Degenkolb still among that pack.
Luckily the TTT is only 13km long, we definitely didn't bring anyone here specifically for that. We have 6 of our 9 worst TTers here, with Bar at 61 TT actually being our third best rider in this lineup... It's all about damage control for Nerz's GC.

Only 18 seconds for Kritskiy to get the yellow, but I have no idea how strong the tt teams are...

I reckon my team would be the best having 83-81-78-77-77-76-76-72, but I am also sure that we will somehow manage to fuck everything up seeing that this very stage is the number 1 targeted stage of the entire season.

The TTT is still only 13 kilometers. Suspect you'll need to be lucky considering who takes the first turn, and who is possibly allowed to not take a turn due to the short distance. |

True, but I think I have the strongest top riders (83-81) the best depth (77,5) and the strongest 8th rider (72), so I "should" win. I won't, though...
I need Vasyliv not to lead (he can be dropped early on, I would prefer!), then I need Bernaudeau NOT to be injured, and Coppel and Vlatos to take turn(s), preferably multiple...

Nice to see Meyer in and around the top 10 on the flat stages for once, in surprisingly one of the toughest fields he's faced. Shame Ponzi wasn't greatly positioned on stage 5 though. Hopefully he can grab a win on one of the next few hilly days. |

Turns out Vantomme's not that interested anymore. Another (already almost definite) 2 days in KOM is great though. Now, can we come last in a TTT?
Thanks and Congrats Roturn!

Another nice stage by the team to stay in Yellow now the TTT literally no idea how this is going to go to be honest the aim is to stay in Yellow but really a stage top 5 has to be the aim and are whole stage just depends on how Phinney is riding |

Yes! That is just great! Without Bernaudeau injured we would have probably taken the leaders jersey, but that really is nitpicking. Stage 9 will be very interesting now as we don't have a yellow jersey to look out for, thus hopefully leaving room for Spilak to attack. 30 seconds behind Phinney will be difficult to catch before the mountains, and then Schleck is likely to come charging.

Congrats SotD, that lineup paid off!
Good result for us, losing only 27 seconds.
Considering that was the gap between a 83-81-78-77-77-76-76-72 team and a 73-68-61-61-61-59-57-56 team, I do believe I made the right decision to not give a f*ck about this TTT. And it makes me wonder how there were teams worse than us

Congratulations, SotD! Great win, eventhough Team Phinney also went very well in 2nd place.
Surprisingly good TTT from us, not that it matters in any way, as we don't have any GC ambitions. Promising though that Nesset was one of the first five, hinting he isn't injured.
And only one (arguably two) more stage before the real GC fun starts! Really looking forward to see how that plays out.
Thank you for the report, roturn. |

Thanks mate
I'm a bit mixed with the fact that not getting the yellow. Obviously I want it for as long as possible, but seeing how defensively we rode on stage 5 it might be good for us that it is RBC who needs to put the pressure on for most of the day, while we can hopefully stay around Spilak until he attacks - where I expect even a yellow jersey Phinney could struggle to keep up - but more important Schleck could lose some time from us and RBC putting on pressure, perhaps together with Ponzi, Bakelants and Taaramae.
