Hopefully the weight of two jerseys won't bring Gesink down tomorrow.

Wow, some serious domination from Aleksandr, totally crushing the others there. Shame abou the first week, after that he was perfect, four stage wins and 4mins clawed back! wow :D
Also 2nd in points and KOM.
Thanks roturn!

If stage 21 goes as all the similar length stages have gone so far, I'll have a fair amount of money in my MG bank

Velits gave it a good go. But Lecuisinier had another good day. 4th is fucking amazing. Another crap performance by Campero and Vasyliv though. Sadly those are getting captaincy roles later this season. Good thing we overperformed here because those next few races should be very poor.
Now to cross what can be crossed that no one crashes in the final stage. Ohh and I won a bet!!!

As expected from Guldhammer, and I'm happy with 6th overall, it's also another sponsor goal completed Also nice to see Nesset and Galta with good time trials, which seems to have made our 4th place in the teams classification safe.
Congratulations on the 4th stage win, Avin. One must wonder how this race would have played out if the stages were reversed, with lots of mountains coming before all the hilly stuff. Guess one would fancy Pluchkin to claim the overall then, but as this race has unfolded, there's no doubt Gesink is the true champion of this Vuelta.
Thank you for the report, roturn, now only one final salute left. Hopefully Holst Enger has something left in his bag, eventhough his Vuelta was a huge success already a couple of weeks ago. |

Too bad Gesink will crash tomorrow, he's done amazingly well this race.

I've not commented on every stage but it has been a great GT to follow. This and the Giro have been fantastic reports and a pleasure to read.
Premature congrats to Gesink on the GC victory and well done for finally stopping Pluchkin

What a race this was. A joy to follow and a very welcome change after the bit boring Giro GC-wise imo. This race on the other hand barely had a boring day and the great reporting made it even better to follow, so thanks for the brilliant reports all the way roturn!
Congratz to alex and Gesink for finally winning a GT and to me and the others who bet on him
Also big gratz to avin for another great Pliuchkin GT, if he first was gonna lose one, this was the way to do it and still have a great race imo

I really miss the PCM AI complaining Avin... might have something to do with Pluchkin winning stages

Congrats Avin, well deserved win in this Vuelta and 4 GC wins in a row, what an achievment! Just too bad Velits lost some valuable time on a hilly stage when working for Sagan, I could have a celebration of 3rd place right now.
Oh wait... maybe Gesink does not crash at the worst possible time this time. Congrats to Avin anyway, that was a really dominant win. Really happy with the result from Velits, as well as with Sagan. Hopefully no crashes now...

Why complain when best climber in the race wins mountain stages.
And dont worry, i know from Alex already that i am seen as hypocrite...

Shame to see Lutsenko dropping out of the top 10 but Nibbles is up to 7th which is nice. Thanks for the reports.

Yes!!!
First Grand Tour win in seven years in the MG and what a way to do it! Quite a big margin and stopping Pluchkin from writing history.
A great race for the team altogether, perfectly showed by the team rankings. We've won the team rankings in both GTs this year
Thank you roturn for the great reports and the amazing pace you put them up with!

Why oh why don't we join the breaks, especially this one which was destined to go all the way...
The AI disregarded us completely the whole race, so all I have to say is thanks roturn, congrats alex (you really deserve it), and let's move on.
