Enjoying the reports and Pellaud stepping into spotlights. Surely wasn't his last breakaway try in Italy.
Hope to see more from Penasa and Manfredi the coming days.

Seeing how the sprint for second place went, that was an obvious chance missed for Guldhammer when the peloton first decided to catch the original breakaway. Seemed like we preferred to save energy instead of chasing Kruijswijk down, or just be happy to let him stay away, as a former rider Anyway, congratulations, CountArach!
Thank you for the report, sgdanny. This Giro is surely building up nicely towards the more difficult stages that are looming now, as three of the next five stages look like they should have their say for the final GC. |

Meh, Demare must've been rather close to actually stay in the peloton, and I don't like we're not among the teams getting breakaway luck (KoM/stage win) so far. That could be us but thanks AI...
At least Bongiorno looks unhurt.

Well, good to see Penasa trying. Not so impressed how it played out though

Weird stage with the section of flat but some nice reporting making up for the AI, at least nice that it wasn't the total whitewash by the break I expected. Congrats on the win Count!

I'm glad for every successful break on mountain stages as it prevents Pluchkin and Alarcon from getting to contest for the points jersey
Kruijswijk has a sick stat package. Very cool to see him earning his team a great victory. Congrats count!

Thanks for the congratulations guys, that was a great little surprise for us. Kruijswijk has been superb this season between this and his HC success earlier. I think his stats are just perfect for a lieutenant; not quite good enough to be a threat, meaning he can get away, but good enough to stay away once he gets a gap. This sort of win is what we need to stay up.
Thanks for the report sgdanny, they truly have been great quality.

Nice 3rd place for Kolesnikov, but Belkov needs to do better for the team rankings.

Ouch... Cattaneo failing miserably. Quite worrying considering the fact that I wouldn't have survived last season without Dekker's points. Cattaneo simply needs to deliver, otherwise we're in for another trip to the PCT.
Hopefully, he'll be able to regain a top-10 spot once we hit the mountains. |

Very nice win by Kruijswijk! Congrats
Besides Agudelo apparently De Greef is now also injured. Guess it's good we don't have a jersey to defend right now.

So far so good for us during the last few stages, Pluchkin always in the first rows, being attentive and we still have a great lead in team competition. Thanks for the reports and congrats to the stage winners!
Now few of the key stages awaits us during next five days. Goal for us is to at least hold the same advantage to Alarcon and Madrazo and dont loose the pink jersey to breakaway. Stage win would be nice too, Pluchkin should show some climbing superiority.

What a ride by Brambilla. Waited 8 stages to see a eBuddy rider in a breakaway but at least it was worthed.
A real shame he couldn't hand on for the stage win though as it would have meant grabbing the KoM jersey as well. At least, he is now in the top 10 overall, but I guess there's a downside to that as he won't be able to go into breakaways and chase after points. Then again, I don't think he will be staying in the top 10 for too long
A bit disappointed by Henao, who dropped a spot in the GC and lost some important time on Wellens and Guldhammer, but I guess this isn't one of the stages that suit him the most.

Would be more fun if Olivier had a better day once on a mountain stage.
Not ideal that the time gap between top10 and top20 is that big. Formolo, Kolesnikov, Kwiatkowski, Keinath and several more definitely shouldn`t gain like 2-3 min on him.
So hopefully there will be better days in the remaining stages. |

Brambilla could've been Bongiorno and Wellens could've been Nerz, so I'm not 100% happy with this stage, but at least Nerz did a good job staying with guys of his caliber to get well into Top10 contention (which is a sponsor goal btw).
The next two stages look very good for Demare.
