So what you're basically saying is: "I manage a team from a country, so I've gone away and found the names of some cyclists from this country and decided to create their stats so they fit into my team perfectly, filling any roles that are currently lacking in the team, and while you're at it, why not add some really overpowered riders, because I want some of them in my team"

Seems legit.

You obviously didn't read the stats that Rider suggested pretty normal stats plus most of the comments their are tongue in cheek e.g. "Nicacio winning in best GT" Grin

Depends if they're maxed stats or not Wink but with Nazaret going to the free agency this season I don't think Bonsucro really need another 80MO Brazilian, just saying Pfft

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can give these riders stats! And keep in mind that Russia is dying Smile Gusev, Karpets, Kolobnev, Efimkin brothers, Brutt, etc. etc.

I did read the stats suggested, while some of them were plausible, it was more the attitude that I thought was completely wrong. A random 80 Mo rider which by the sounds of it is going to be around the level of the really top talents added this season is pretty normal is it? Can I have an 80 cob random Colombian dude put into the DB just because I want one? Pfft

I thought this is purpose of this thread, seeing some of the suggestions? Pfft

Btw. i will look on those russians Oleg and post suggestions, i had some of these in mind anyway. Wink
At least Mamykin should be a great talent, but dont know about 1995 guy, maybe just too young?

Avin Wargunnson
So expanding the Olegs post, with maxed stats suggestions for these young russian talents. As Oleg pointed out, one russian generation is on decline and MG could use the replacement, especially at stage racing front. Mamykin looks like one of the best climbing talents worldwide. Anyway i dont know exact details of careers of all of these guys, so anyone with better knowledge is welcomed to correct me. Smile

jph: What is the big deal? When all of those riders are maxed not one would even trouble the top 70 of the PCT rankings! What is wrong with requesting a Brazian Bakari? Sorry if you don't think they are realistic for the MG, but they aren't even that good in my eyes. Feel free to offer suggestions. Wink

Ollfardh - Yeah! You know as well as I do, that the MG db is not the PCM daily db!

You picked the wrong person to insult. How dare you slander me like that? Rolling Eyes

So people add: Irish, Japs, Sri Lankans etc. probably all more OP than my selections yet when I post you have a problem. You have some irrational hatred towards me there I sense, I don't know where you got it from.

Do you live on cloud-cuckoo the land? The perfect team?! You had exactly zero posts in all PCT threads combined this season, so you probably don't know what an effective PCT rider looks like.

Well ask any PCT manager and they will tell you that all of those riders I suggested combined would struggle to score more than 40 points in a good PCT season. All of them are low-mid tier CT level domestiques, 40% of them are not even Brazilian, Camilo is a worse type compared to (Egidio- 26 points this season), Marques is a climber who would struggle to score 20 points at PCT level and De Matta is a much worse version of Ballan (15 points). Hardly the perfect PCT team then, of those riders we would only consider going after one or two of them if we haven't filled up the team by the end of the season.

Anyone reading this should know how much I have put into the MG compared to you. So the thought that you say I put stats to the first names I came across is farcical.

My attitude! Rolling Eyes

Some of them were plausible, eh? Glad you think so. Let's just look at our MG credentials, shall we:

The Rider:
c.100 MG reports
Helps out with MG points files
Heavy commenter in both CT/PCT divisions
20 odd posts in WT threads
Visits other HQ threads
Keeps own HQ up to date
Has access to more MG forums than Stromeon

Stromeon:
Throughout the season only commented on own race threads
Sub-par activity
0 posts in all PCT threads combined
1 post in all PT threads combined
1 HQ post since start of season

Yet despite all of this you seem to think you can tell me if my additions are plausible or not!
In a condescending manner as well! Oh, dear.

BTW: You can give me the thumbs down all you want, that is fine. But when you give me the thumbs down after reasonable suggestions after not giving thanks once, not once, after the 30 odd races of yours I covered, that just shows what kind of a character you are. It really does.

Your attitude stinks, please try and sort it out.

More eastern europans incoming soon, i am surprised that knockout have not suggested Martin Laas, probably the biggest estonian talent.

Me and Roman already discussed Brazil anyway, before The Rider's post.

Always say that it doesn't matter what nationality a top rider is added, any team is fully able to sign them. I have no issue with people suggesting really good riders from any nation. The only issue is if people get bitchy if others bid against them on free agents from 'their' country. It's a free market after all.

Martin Laas
DOB: 15.9.1993
Starting LVL: 1.00
Speciality: Punchy sprinter/Fighter
PCS: https://www.procyc...artin_Laas

Martin has won the challenging Tour of Estonia this year, especially because of stage win in first lumpy stage. He aslo came 6th in U23 European Champs and did well in China during late season.

Ahmet Örken
DOB: 12.3.1993

Speciality: GC rider with fast kick.

Enormous turkish stage racing talent, can even sprint and ride great TT, has it all really. Has billion of great results across the globe in 2015, in lesse contested races. Turkish national champion in ITT. But he is from Torku Åžekerspor, you know. Wink
Anyway i feel like Turkey can use some really good rider in the game, thus the really good stats suggested...

Luis Leon Sanchez
Name: Dion Smith
Nationality: New Zealand
D.O.B: 3/3/1993 (22)
Starting lvl: Probably 2?
Speciality: Hilly Stage Races, Sprints (after a hilly stage)

SmithDion71757972757675607678747472NZLOC2003319937

He is 22 years of age and in my opinion the top young talent that has come through the New Zealand Cycling Scene and a very good one in general. He started as a trainee with Champions System (CT) in 2013 and has spent 2014 and 2015 with Hincapie (CT) but will now take a big step up as he has moved to One Pro Cycling (PCT) for at least the next two years.
https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...Dion_Smith

His results include:
9th New Zealand Road Race
3rd GC New Zealand Cycle Classic
21st GC Amgen Tour of California
3rd GC Tour de Beauce
16th GC and 3rd Points Tour of Utah
15th GC USA Pro Challenge
5th GC and Points Tour of Alberta

Included are pretty decent classics results and also good stage results in stages which are flat and hilly. For this reason I have given him a good MO and HIL but also SPR and ACC as well as decent TT as he has alright results in Time Trials in Stage races he has been in.

In terms of the stats I have given, I haven't ever done this so I have no clue as to how good he should be in particular areas relative to others in the DB. What I do know is that he is the strongest, most promising young rider to come from NZ in many years. The stats I assigned to him reflect the strengths that I believe he has which lie in the hills, if you look at his results against Mollema and Slagter in Alberta, and in the sprints where he clearly has good acceleration.

Main reason for that is that my knowledge of eastern European talents is (more or less ) not existing Pfft

E.g. I saw Laas while looking for some talents but thought he would not be too strong but since I struggle to figure out what kind of rider these guys are I don't want to suggests too many riders. Thanks for suggesting Laas and feel free to add some Latvians if you know them better. Wink

As you can see on example of Örkan, i know shit about them too knockout. Pfft
It is mostly guessing on results and what i heard or read about them. And when someone is 21-23 years old, he is usually not specialized yet. So this makes our job here hard.

Some of these stages in Tour of Ankara are pretty hard SN and he won mountain jersey there, but looking at all the profiles in detail, you are right. Majority is flat or hilly at best. Some of these profiles are confusing if not studied in detail. I guess i just want to find eastern european stage racer, who is not proven doper, too much and still failing bar Mamykin, who is obvious. Grin

@LLS: Smith way too strong there. Reckon that those stats are maxed, but if added at level 2, it would be impossible to add him at a level that makes it possible to gain those stats, without being overpowered because of the diversity of the stats.

Edit: Given his high hill stat, I reckoned he'd be trained for hills. That would mean that his level 2 stats are 69 hill, 72 mountain, 74 sprint.

That was a childish and completely unnecessary attack; you should be ashamed of yourself for stooping to such low standards. I have thanked you before for your reporting which has been extremely helpful in making the MG move swiftly and efficiently, and I try and be as active as I can in the MG, but real life unfortunately gets in the way more often than I want to. I plead, sincerely, that you a) try to speak in a civil tone and b) desist from such angry rants in the future; the MG community is overwhelmingly friendly and polite, making an attack like this stick out like a sore thumb.
