The Tatranska Classic is a new race on the calendar and takes place in Slovakia as C2HC event.
By looking on the profile it`s easy to spot the kind of rider you need to be for a successful performance. The long and steep climb is a big difficulty already but climbing it 8 times in a row must feel awful. At least the final decision is not on top of it but after the long descent. So fighting at the end of the group might even be rewarded when finding his 2nd air afterwards.
The climb itself is steep as hell. Lots of difficult sections making it one hell of a race.
When talking about the favourites, one team comes to Slovakia with a big impression. Indosat - ANZ has both top climbers (Signorini/Atapuma) in their rows. So hard to see past them really.
BelarusBank with Ochoa Quintero and Compal with Gilanipoor might come next and surely hope for a win or at least podium.
The depth of Alpina, Elta, Novatek, Sancor, Fablok makes their teams some kind of favourites as well. At least some valuable scoring seems guaranteed.
For a better overview here the best climbers:
| Mo | Spr | Acc | | Mo | Spr | Acc | Signorini | 78 | 56 | 74 | Nakane | 76 | 63 | 65 | Atapuma | 78 | 60 | 73 | Rodas | 75 | 58 | 69 | Ochoa Quintero | 77 | 62 | 70 | Rudaskov | 75 | 56 | 68 | Gilanipoor | 77 | 56 | 73 | Peterson | 75 | 59 | 69 | Rienda Segura | 76 | 68 | 77 | Moyano | 75 | 65 | 64 | Berard | 76 | 63 | 68 | Roman | 75 | 64 | 66 | Soler | 76 | 54 | 71 | Feillu | 75 | 63 | 70 | Sinelobov | 76 | 57 | 67 | Domagalski | 75 | 62 | 65 | Dyachenko | 76 | 60 | 67 | Baz | 75 | 66 | 70 | Kulhavy | 76 | 63 | 73 | Koep | 75 | 52 | 57 | Orozco | 76 | 61 | 76 | Weber | 75 | 68 | 76 | Zurita | 76 | 51 | 69 | Hirt | 75 | 65 | 74 |

Now this is a race we have looked forward to!
If we can break down the "double-headed monster" in Indosat, I think we have a decent chance to win here.
It's going to be an awesome race to follow, that's for sure!
Thank you for the preview roturn |

I've got the best puncheur here, that should count for something...
I really don't know what I was thinking there...
Hoping for a top ten for Domagalski and one of my stagierres in the break.
I don't know how tough the climb is, but maybe a group could make it over, so I'll pick Rienda Segura for the win.
Thanks for the preview roturn.

Good that you remind me. I forgot the profile picture. Very easy climb obviously. |

More of a hill maybe? there was a reason I brought Zeits.

Cool. Hope to score a few points here at least.
Rodas is welcome to do a breakaway victory, though. |

I don't doubt we'll lose some terrain to Compal here. Hopefully Sinelobov and Rudaskov are bothered to do stuff, so we can limit the losses to the minimum, and then score as much as possible in the next two months, where, luckily, we have no mountain stages left at all where we inevitably lose terrain.

I'm pretty sure this is the best mountain field I've seen in CT this year. I'm so happy we haven't chosen this band, even if it's undersubscribed...
Thanks for the preview Roturn!

Nothing less than a podium here. We've got Atapuma and Signorini as well as some really strong support riders. We're in need of some points and the team needs to step it up again. They did well in the US, they absolutely must step it up a gear here.
A very strong field as expected, some crazy stacked teams like Alpina and Sancor, along with the Compal duo. Ochoa Quintera has had a disappointing year, maybe here he'll redeem himself.
Thanks for the preview roturn!

I would really like that But it seems that the game put Kulhavy as leader, seeing the bib numbers. Anyway, it is a great chance to take a third win this season

Got a Top 5 goal here and with Berard's win in Indonesia, this might become very a goal that actually can be completed
Then again the field is amazing for CT and many possible winners are here! A long time without a race at all, so amazing to get back for an important September month to start

I guess I can't really have any expectations. This is Koep's last race as leader I think, so it would be nice if he was even remotely near the front.

What do you think about just another overperformance, Hirt?

Rooting for Kulhavi as usual. shouldnt be impossible with a win here considering his great downhill
Have the feeling Signorini will have another great race, but havent checked his DH so could be mistaken.

Baz will need to channel his inner Scotland to get a decent result here. Top 10 and I will be happy.

ANZ's team is exceedingly strong here and it will be interesting to see how the AI handles it. No excuse for them not winning this though.

Hoping that our strength in numbers pays off here, would be nice to get say 2 in the top 10. However, both Orozco and Zurita have the descending ability of David Moncoutié on a unicycle so I'm not confident about their chances towards the end. Should be a very interesting race, with the field completely scattered at the end.

I am really looking forward to this race, this climb is so hard in-real, I just couldn't pass the option to send the route to SN.
ANZ are defo looking like a team to beat here. Hopefully our loanee future star Hirt and our old friend Kulhavy will both do well.
