With all the Czech Republic commotion I almost forgot about this one. Well this was a no-brainer for us, with Avelino being one of the 5 best sprinters in the division, but we all know how packed these races are.
Anyway with the Eire Tour still fresh in our memories, I was afraid Ă“scar would shrug off his responsibilities here, once gain, but Stage 1 looks promising. Finishing fourth behind those 3 colossus is quite inspirational, I hope he can keep up sprinting like this.
Congrats to sutty. Cav appearing when he most needs him to should definitely deserve a thumbs up from him. Thanks for reporting this too, tsmoha

Great way to start the race, Kupfernagel shows that it is able to compete with the big guns

With the top10 getting time bonus Simon Pellaud will drop much more than hoped before, but nonetheless a good start. If it keeps on going this way a zero pointer can be prevented.
Gratz to sutty for the long awaited Cav-win!

This is much better. Boonen with decent positioning and immediately, he comes up with a stage podium. Would have loved if he either followed Vantomtom or another of those sprinters at the top instead of going on his own but still 2nd is a good result.
Hopefully, the other stages go equally well.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

You can do better than that Ahlstrand, you showed a bit of it on the first stage... |

What an unorthodox sprint. Nice final kick by Avelino after he seemed likely to fade at some point.
Congrats to Karcher for another prestigious victory from Kupfernie. Best season ever for him.

Rowe gets a leadout... Good! But things went downhill after that
13th is now his own position but hopefully we can do better to improve that GC position
BTW - what bonus second system are we using here? Thanks!

Pleased at halftime with two guys in scoring positions. Just for once it'll be perfectly fine if they stay anonymous for the rest of the race... if something like 20+ points will be harvested in the end.

Nice try by Zordan. He almost made it and is now in a decent GC position.

Much better with my riders actually getting involved this time. Didn't quite pull it off, but at least Van der Sande got a couple of bonus seconds. Kupfernagel continuing to punch above his weight in these flat stage races.

Keukeleire getting the bonus seconds from the intermediate is nice. Stallaert may be able to get into the top 10 on a stage too which would be valuable. At least he will probably score something at this rate.
Thanks for the reports.

thanks guys .. Kupfernagel is actually having a dream season, it would be almost impossible to do better.
Despite the goal of victory in this race did not expect that things went as well as they have gone so far.
It will be difficult to keep the lead until the end, but so was the Eire Tour and in the end it was achieved..
Once again thanks for the report tshoma

Vantomme beating me still hurts after missing out on him in that first season.
Huge result for Keukeleire. Top 10 overall hopefully guaranteed now.

Compared to Olympia, the winds have been disappointing here. We try to get in the break every day, but we're never in the one that stays away. Hope for a change on the last stage.

Good to have a train, not so good the result. I know Van Heerden's ACC is poor but his Sprint stat is still great. So while he can't seem to follow Van der Sande's leadout acceleration, it is disappointing that he can't pick up the speed after that.

That's more like it, round it off with a podium on the last stage maybe?
And keep the U25 Jersey! |
