Cyanide has released a new official patch for Pro Cycling Manager 2011.
The patch is the fourth official patch for PCM11 and fixes issues in both career, multiplayer and race mode. Some adjustments in stats have also been made.
The patch can be downloaded from this link, where the full list of issues fixed in this and former patches is also available.
Update, 13:11: We just received the fix list of the final version of the upcoming patch that's expected to be released this week. See below.
--------------------------
A beta patch for PCM11 found its way to Focus' public FTP servers yesterday, revealing at least some of the fixes that we can expect for the final patch.
Freire, project leader of the game, says that a "the official 4th patch should come later this week".
[MULTIPLAYER] - Adds display of distance ridden for a race which has already begun. - Adds a warning message if a game is launched and the player's TCP/UDP ports are not correctly opened for the PCM2011 application. - Correct problem which prevented Omnium track races to be taken into account by the ladder. - Adds display of profile of the upcoming stage when a game is loaded in stage mode.
[CAREER] - Corrects problem whereby world champion did not abandon his jersey in season 2. - Negotiation with a sponsor is no longer possible if the manager has already postponed his answer for one week. - Corrects various problems concerning the creation of a custom team. - AI teams will mainly recruit young riders from regions which interest their sponsors.
[3D RACES & AI/GAMEPLAY] - fixed: a water carrier follows a team-mate who has just attacked, in order to supply him with water. - fixed : when nobody wants to relay in a group, player's riders who are have received a "Keep Position" order, ride very slowly. - fixed: sometimes the peloton slows down for no apparent reason at the end of a race and the breakaway rider(s) win more easily. - prevent exploit: the player, by assigning a low effort level to a rider under a "Keep Position" order, can block riders behind him.
[OTHERS] - Adds the possibility to create a Start List for a race (Options page). - Correct a possible bug in track race trophies.
[DATABASE] - Tour de France update : several adjustments to rider attributes - Custom databases are now to be found in "\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Database" instead of "\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\xxxxxx\Database"
Well, well, well. A Public Beta with bugs? How surprising ;)
Unfortunately, I left in a small test in the database file which means that you can't use Spanish riders. I can imagine how that would be a problem for some people... :P
Although I generally won't release "temporary" fixes (I'd rather save them for the final version), this one is quite problematic, so here's the PCM.daily Expansion Pack V0.51 - downloadable here.
I'm aware of the robotic rider-thingy, but that won't be fixed today.
PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V0.5 (Public Beta) released
After lots and lots of hard work it's time to release the 1st version of PCM.daily's Expansion Pack for Pro Cycling Manager 2011 - which is also our first release for PCM11 in general.
We revealed the features a few days ago, and although we did add a few extra things since then, it's largely the same: 80 teams, 27 new races, lots of corrected stages for the existing races and changing race routes for 13 races. Equipment-wise - well, we started almost from scratch, and we're still far from the amount of equipment we had in PCM10. Many teams use random equipment, just a few use their exact equipment. That being said, it's a good start, thanks to guys like felix_29, ANFreeman, KenL, BoogieBoogie, Bikefreak and Petacchi 94.
Anyway -- keep in mind that this is V0.5 (Public Beta). The database is stable (tested and working for at least one season), yet there may be some bugs that we've overlooked and that you can hopefully find. On Sunday the 31st, we'll release the V1 with the edits that have been suggested by you.
Download? You have the choice between Multiupload.com (in several parts) or a torrent (one part). For the latter, you have to use a download tool such as uTorrent. No matter what you choose, the file is an .exe - a self-installation file. Open it, follow the guide and make sure to pick the correct installation folder.
17:30: File is being uploaded. Should be online soonish.
We're still on track for a "before the end of the Tour de France"-release of the PCM.daily DB, and today, we've decided to reveal the feature list and list of teams. It's not the final feature list, but on the other hand we don't expect to add a whole lot of new stuff.
In short, the PCM.daily DB will feature 80 teams, 27 new races and several variants (changing routes) for some the largest races. We're not including the usual US and British teams due to lack of PCM11 races, but we expect to add them in an add-on later on.
Stages-wise, we have decided only to use stages made especially for PCM11. This means that we have fewer new races compared to the DBs for PCM10, but on the other hand, there's no AI issues (in PCM10 stages, the AI teams won't know when to bring their leaders forward, which means that AI team leaders will often be caught behind).
We'll be updating you with more info and perhaps a few screenshots over the next couple of days, so stay tuned.
