PCM.daily looking for crew and database assistance
News

The season is coming to an end, and both cycling teams as well as, well, us are preparing for 2012. In other words: PCM.daily is looking for new, commited crew members who'd like to become a part of the most dedicated Pro Cycling Manager fansite.

We're looking for people to cover every area of the site:
- The downloads section - we're looking for people who don't mind reading through lots of French, Flemish, Italian, Spanish etc. forums for new downloads.
- General site/PCM support - we can always use more supporters for the forum section. We're also hoping to expand our new Tips and Tricks section.
- Betting section - PCM.daily's Fantasy Betting could use a few more "odds setters", so if you're a betting addict, this is the position for you.

Interested? Send an e-mail to the following address with: 1) your PCM.daily username, 2) information about which position you're searching, 3) what experience/knowledge that qualifies you for the position.

----

Secondly, there's the PCM.daily Database Team. As I have a lot less time available than in the previous years, more help is needed if PCM.daily is to release a 2012 database.

Therefore, we're looking for experienced database creators who can assist me with the database work. Best case scenario is that I can be more of a project manager rather than a database creator, although I know that that is qute unlikely ;)

We're also looking for people who can assits with pretty much any other part of the database:
- Data people. You might not have a whole lot of experience with editing DBs, but you can work hard with lots of data if you're told what to do. For example, we're going to need help with doing the palmares for 2012. This doesn't require database knowledge, but it does require hard work.
- Graphic artists. We will continue to use the graphics made by the community, but at times, we might be in need of graphics which haven't been made yet. In those cases, it would be very helpful to have graphic artists at hand.
- Stage makers. Same situation as with the graphic artists.

Lastly, we're hoping to change the way that stats are made. Best case scenario, we're going to have a stat maker per region. For example, it would be nice to have an expert in Benelux riders. Therefore, we're looking for stat makers who have special knowledge (with this, we mean knowledge on Continental riders) on, for example, Benelux riders.

If you have knowledge on how PCM stats work and riders from a certain region, don't hesistate to join us.

As said previously: If you're interested, send an e-mail to the following address, including this information: 1) your PCM.daily username, 2) information about which position you're searching, 3) what experience/knowledge that qualifies you for the position.

Patch released for PS3-version of Tour de France
Pro Cycling Manager 2011

The Tour de France might be long gone, but the game lives on. The very first patch for the Tour de France game that's available for Playstation 3 and Xbox has been released - although only for PS3 so far.

One of the major changes is that it's now possible to change which rider that you control on each sector of a stage. This means that you can go on attack with Rider X (e.g. Tony Martin) in the 1st part of the stage, and when you reach the final, you can switch to Rider Y (Cavendish, if it's a sprint).

The patch also opens up for additional download-able content, so "Tour de France" becomes more than just the Tour de France. According to the official announcement, Criterium International, a 3-day stage race with 1 flat stage, 1 time trial and 1 mountain stage, is set to be released as the first DLC package.

As said, the patch can be downloaded from PSN now. Xbox owners will have to be patient while waiting for Microsoft to approve the patch.

Send your tips and tricks for PCM
News

As mentioned a few months ago, our programmer, AaB-ern, has been working on a Tips and Tricks section which will make it easier for the members of PCM.daily to find good strategies and tactics for every part of Pro Cycling Manager

With the new section it will be possible to submit new tips and tricks (both text and YouTube videos) and rate/comment existing tips. The best tips will be listed on the frontpage of the Tips and Tricks section.

The "coding" part of the work is done - we just need you guys to send in a good base of tips and tricks before we open the section to the public.

So if you want to share your best tips, go ahead and submit them right away.

Fantasy Vuelta and Cycling Photos
News

On Saturday the 3rd Grand Tour of the year, the Vuelta a Espana, begins - and like with all other Grand Tours this year, PCM.daily has a mini-league on Velogames.com. We had 140 teams compete in the Tour de France fantasy game, so dont forget to signup for the Vuelta version aswell.

The rules are simple - you select 9 riders with a points value of up to 100 points (those who are more likely to score points on every stage obviously costing more). 2 All-Rounders, 2 Climbers, 1 Sprinter, 3 Domestiques and a Wild Card who can come from any of the categories. The code for the PCM.daily fantasy league on the website is: 15105134.

Also, Id like to take the chance to remind you about our Cycling Photos section. Recent additions include my own from the London Surrey Cycle Classic last weekend, and lagetcher's from the first few stages of the Tour de France. And if you havent yet seen them, there is also JMURB's from the Giro d'Italia and Lorkan's from Liege-Bastogne-Liege.

If you have Cycling Photos of your own then it would be great if you wanted to upload them to the section - and perhaps with the World Championships coming up in Copenhagen, a few of our Danish members will remember to bring a camera with them!

Complete V1 Expansion Pack available
Downloads

As promised yesterday, here's the complete V1 of PCM.daily's Expansion Pack. We recommend that you completely reinstall your game, then install the patch (1.0.4.4.) and then this package. You do not need the V0.5, V0.5 Update nor the Podium Fix.

Torrent (1 file)
Multiupload (5 files): Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5

Please note: I won't be home to seed this, not even to begin with, so it's highly recommended to download the files using Multiupload.

When you are done downloading through Multiupload, download the torrent file. When asked where to save, direct it to the place where you downloaded the files from Multiupload to.

This will make you a seeder of the file, even if you didn't download it through the torrent.

Thanks a lot.
