A new patch - a new buglist
Yes, there's actually a new patch coming up. It will be called 1.0.3.0, and it's currently being tested by the beta testers. It's undecided when it'll be released. It all depends on what the beta testers report - if many bugs are found it will take some time. If not, it can be released soon. But as said, no one knows -- but it will come. It's also worth mentioning that the beta patch is available to all users - both CD, DL and German. Hopefully, this also means the three different patches will be released at the same time. Currently, the Germans don't have a 1.0.2.1, meaning they can't play online with other nationalities, but hopefully this will change once the 1.0.3.0 is released.
Here's the preliminary fix list - and yes, it can be changed. This only counts for the beta patch. However, the last few times the preliminary fix list has been 100 % equal to the final fix list.
(Thanks to Aquarius for the translation)
1.0.3.0 version --------------- To take full advantage of all corrections and changes, we would advise that you start a new career.

The Vuelta has just ended (without any doping incidents - did anyone notice that?), the Worlds are getting closer and the release of PCM Spain is getting closer. We are all waiting for it, and in the mean time, here's the Weekly News in its 39th edition :)
Roadie releases another pack Roadie68 has returned to the community for good. Last week, he released his first Ultimate Accessory Pack, and yesterday he released the 2nd version of it. This time, you will find even more of the stuff you found in the 1st version. You will find sunglasses from many different companies including Adidas, Giro, Oakley and more. You will also find new helmets, overshoes, water bottles and, and, and -- in fact, a lot of small details, making PCM even more enjoyable.
The Eternal Database - new version Digitizer's huge database, the Eternal Database, was updated last week and is now in its 3rd version, 1.0.3. Digitizer has included even more new features in the update. Now, you'll find even more teams (taken from the PPDB) and even more riders. Also, the riders who have been caught doping will now return once their ban runs out (in real life). He has also added more sponsors and more staff -- and more.
There's still some downsides, though. Tests have proved that several riders are represented twice (Botero, Boasson Hagen, etc.), no sponsor logos, almost no race programs, objectives for new teams are random and more.
Cyanide restructures the French part Cyanide has made a new strategy which is supposed to make the communication between the customers and Cyanide better -- on the French part, that is. The strategy was presented on the French forum on the 18th of September, and in outline said the following: 1. There will now be a "moderator leader" of each (French) forum 2. A new forum has been created. It's only available to moderators and Cyanide. Here, they will exchange informations. 3. For the future, moderators will more work as communicators / spokesmen than actual moderators.
It was also said that the community - as always - will be invited to take part in the development of PCM08, for example when it comes to stage making and jersey making. Time will tell if the above only counts for the French part, or if the English part also will get some information.
In addition to the above, Freire (Clément Pinget) today answered to critism from the English forums: "The big difference with CyM1 or CyM2 is that external communities (Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, Polish, German, etc...) replaced slowly our forums. I'm sure that finally it is better because we do not have the shoulders to make the game AND make the communication job on the forums. Moreover those external communities are great and lead by big figures from the Cycling Manager scene. Now if someone here is fluent in french & english AND he show us a solid motivation, we'd be very happy to give him a place in our staff team in order to create the same process that Sebduth & other members are creating in the french part of the community. Building a community isn't just asking us to make the thing. Come'on if you really want the things to be changed "
PCM.daily's Management Game in its 2nd second The Pro Tour-part of PCM.daily's popular Management Game has now started, and that means the 2nd season is now fully underway. Shortly before the start, the Saturn team (formerly known as Francaise des Jeux) got a new manager, our former crew member, Panaflex. The Pro Tour champions, Accumalux, have had a perfect start of the season by winning 33 % of the stages! David Millar won the prologue of Paris - Nice, Frank Schleck won the 4th stage of the same race and Misha Ignatiev took the 4th stage of Tirreno Adriatico - pretty impressive.
You can read much more about the game on our forums.

That's it. We didn't have much on the programme for this week's news, but I can ensure you we got news later today ;)
A week has passed, and we're ready with yet another news update.
PCM.daily expands Thanks to all the donations, and thanks to the Google Ads, we've been able to expand even more. This means that we now have even more bandwidth and space available. The new server we are using will be tested throughout the upcoming days, but its first real test will be on the 30th of September when the PCM Spain DB is released. The difference between the current DL-server and the new one is that there's more bandwidth available on the new one, and that there's no daily limit on our bandwidth usage. It will be an essential part of PCM.daily's Sponsored Projects, since we can now offer even better conditions for creative people who decide to have their projects hosted at PCM.daily.
No-CD Patch for P 1.0.2.1 I've been asked a lot when it would arrive, and honestly I didn't think one would be released. But someone has now released a No CD-patch for Patch 1.0.2.1, making it possible for people who have problems with Starforce to avoid the protection and play the game without the CD. This does not mean, though, that we're supporting pirated games. The patch should only be used if you actually own the game. I know we can't avoid that, but there shouldn't be any doubt in the fact that PCM.daily does not support pirating.
Eternal Database V1.0.1 released One of the most ambitious projects until now has been released. The relatively unknown DB-maker, Digitizer, has made a DB which simply collects almost everything which has been released for PCM07. You get new equipment, new scouting zones, Miya's 3D-pack, A LOT of new races and much, much more. You simply need to read the description of the file in order to be able to understand how large the DB actually is.
More new articles Our two new article writers have been busy and have written a few new articles. Addy has added yet another article in his "Editing Tips"-series, The new one is about how you enable the one texture pr. rider-feature which for some reason has been removed from the game. You can read it here. I've also converted one of the PCM06 articles, so it fits to PCM07. It's meant for users who have the DL-version, and it explains you how to use more than the three activation keys you're given when you buy the download version. You can read it here. Last, but not least, Wildcat has put his focus on the American stage race, Tour of Missouri. In the article, he previews the race and the first three stages of the tour. Read it here.
Bug fixes in new versions The popular PCMGeeks-db has gone into its second and final version. There's no new major updates in the DB, but the few problems there were should now have been fixed. The team behind the DB will now focus entirely on the large DB they are working on along with PCM Scandinavia. You can download the DB here.
The imaginary DB, DB 2009, has also been updated and now contains a lot more graphical stuff than before. For example, you will now find team logos for all teams, also the new imaginary ones. You'll also find more rider pictures. Get it here!
And as promised, we are now hosting the Stanoscase DB 2007. Three versions of the DB have been released, and we have collected them all into one package. It's a Dutch DB with Dutch race names, but it's really precise in its skills settings. It also got lots of other add-ons. You can try it out here.
Release date for PCM Spain Our sponsored project, PCM Spain, has now been given a release date: the 30th of September! Many people are awaiting this DB with excitement, simply because it seems to be the best DB (to-be) released for PCM07. Speaking of PCM Spain, Dankan has given you another chance to see whatever you want from the DB - just request it in his blog here at PCM.daily.
Pro Cycling now in stores It was supposed to be released on the 20th of June along with the PC-version. The game was nowhere to be seen that day, though. The PSP-version of Pro Cycling Manager, Pro Cycling, has been delayed over and over again, and some were even doubting that the game would ever be released. Now, it has happened, though. Pro Cycling hit the stores yesterday in Italia, France, Spain, The Netherlands and Belgium, leaving out other "important" countries such as Germany and the Scandinavian countries. Thanks to Dankan for the tip.
Titan 05 finally closing in T-Photon has been working on the Titan 2005-DB for a very, very long time. Recently, the project hasn't progressed much due to a problem with the sponsor goals, but yesterday the problem was finally fixed. This means that a release date is getting closer. On Saturday the 29th of September, the beta will be sent out to the beta testers along with new screenshots and a trailer for the public. This day will also be the day where the final release date is announced.
We're back, once again a bit later than we're supposed to be :)
1 down, 0 to go Every year when Pro Cycling Manager is released the game is always filled with bugs which annoys the gamers. They complain on the official forum. That's 100 % sure. What's also 100 % sure was that Aquarius was ready to defend Cyanide and the game, and he was also ready to help people who had troubles with the game. That's now over, though. Aquarius has got fed up with the French moderators, Cyanide's lack of communication and all the bugs and has resigned from his moderator status - and left the forum. It's a big loss for the English community since he was the only active moderator on the English forum, and since he was the only guy who could actually make Cyanide speak. And with him gone, it looks pretty dark for the English community. French language skills are definitely needed now.
Anyway, Aquarius will still be around in other PCM-communities than the official one. He's registered here and is also an active member of the PCM Assistance-site (French community).
.. and one has returned Another important person is Roadie68 who left temporarily when the 2nd patch was released. It caused so much trouble that he decided to leave (for a while). Now, he's back with flair and has already celebrated his comeback with a new pack of accessories. It's called "Roadie's 2007 Ultimate Accesssory Pack" and includes new shoes from 13 different manfacturers, new bidons, new overshoes, new gloves and much, much more. Have a look at the pack here.
New articles As I promised, we're now focusing more on the Articles section. Wildcat has already delivered with his Vuelta articles, and now it's Addy's turn. He has written two articles. One which introduces you to PCM Kicker New Generation, and one which explains how to add new stuff to the game, using the STA_TGA-table with PCM Kicker NG. Both can be found in our PCM 07/08 Articles section.
The PSP-version For those who don't know, Pro Cycling Manager 2007 was supposed to be released on two platforms this year: on PC and on PSP. And they were also supposed to be released on the same day. At the time being, the PSP-version hasn't been released yet which must be frustrating for Cyanide, since the game has been ready for months now. They simply can't find any company to distribute the game. Therefore, it's still not available. The game was supposed to be released on the 20th of June, and since then Play.com has had it listed as "temporarily out of stock". However, that was changed just a few days ago. Now it says "due for release on the 21st of September". So, it seems like things are speeding up now. You can preorder the game on Play.com here.
A look into the future Elfouc has revived his PCM06-project, the 2009 DB, for PCM07. It has now been released in its first version for PCM07 and includes new teams, totally new sponsors and new Pro Tour teams. Barloworld, Wiesenhof and Tinkoff are now all a part of the Pro Tour. The pack also contains the new jerseys, new accessories and more. He's currently working on a 2nd version which will be released soon. If you can't wait you can get the V1 right here.
A DB with ambitions A relatively unknown guy, Eeyeor, has released what's supposed to be a DB which actually changes the gameplay. Helpers should now be more important, the daily form should be (even more) important, and in general, the stages are now supposed to be much more realistic. I don't know if there's any truth in it, but it's worth a try. You can get it here.
Our new article writer, Wildcat, has already proved his worth. He has written a review of the first week of this year's Vuelta a España. It's basically a summary of each stage, so if you have missed anything it's perfect reading.
Update: In addition to the article above, Wildcat has written a report about the 8th stage. You can read it here.
And this is only the beginning. With our two new crew members, we now have the capacity to focus a lot more on articles, both for PCM and about cycling. This will certainly be proved in the next couple of weeks, so remember to check the article categories often ;)
