The "April" Ranking has the PTHC stage race in Pologne, 4 HC events with California, Ukraine, Veenendaal and Lisbon for the big points alongside C1 races in Cyprus, Wallonie and Corsica and last but not least the C2 classic Coppa Placci.
9 races in total and lots of points on the board.
Is Volvo able to defend their lead? They had 101 points advantage over Campari with ISA and Rakuten following with some bigger gap.
And how did the fight at the bottom play out for teams such as Europcar, Sauber, Xero, Philips or Carrefour under the line and Carlsberg, cycleYorkshire, Duolingo just ahead.
Pologne was a great race for mainly Berg Cycles and Duolingo as their leaders Roglic/Silvestre, Figueiredo delivered nicely. Also Campari weren`t doing too bad.
Then Popo4ever in person of Pluchkin with the double strike in California and Ukraine. 300+ scores in both was huge for them. Only Berg, ISA, Rakuten, UBS came close while also Sauber, cycleYorkshire, Cyrrefour collected nicely in the relegation fight.
Veenendall and Lisbon then were huge races for cycleYorkshire, Xero and Lierse. Also Berg, Delvaux with decent performances.
Cyprus with Swisslion and Campari at the top but also Xero in the relegation fight and Popo4ever vs Berg for the monthly fight scored well here.
Wallonie was won by the Minions just like Corsica, so it was a good C1 trip for them this month. Also UBS, Desigual did good in those.
The monthly fight then goes to Berg Cycles though as they performed in those smaller ranked events incl. Coppa Placci and they beat Popo4ever by 21 points.

The full rankings are getting more exciting with ever month passed. And also the gap to the top is getting smaller.
Volvo still in the lead but just by 58 points now as Popo4ever is closing. Barely any other team though is carried that much by one leader as Pluchkin has scored 74 % of their points and race days are limited.
ISA remains in 3rd and just like Campari (down to 4th) and Rakuten the gap is still small to Volvo.
But for the top5 it seems to be a first sign as Berg in 6th already has more than 100 points behind then. Still a good jump by the team passing UBS, Delvaux, Swisslion or Kulczyk.
Also Minions up to 8th and Desigual up to 10th with big jumps while cycleYorkshire from relegation to 12th also did well.
At the bottom Europcar remains last and really need big races soon having almost half of the safe zone only. Not much better for Philips being just a bit ahead.
Both teams with a gap to the next which are Sauber, Calrsberg and Xero at the moment. Not looking good for any of those with Carrefour, Valio and Duolingo just ahead. All with less than 1000 points at the moment.

No changes at the top as the former podium remains in the same spots. Pluchkin though hugely improved his lead while also Beltran distanced himself a bit from Tenorio in 3rd.
Best of the rest is Dan Martin, who is not far from Tenorio though with Degenkolb being the best sprinter in 5th. Just like Swift in PT and Mohs in CT though, the top sprinter this season is struggling still.
Uran, Ahlstrand, Amador, Summerhill and Vanbilsen next.

Good month for us, with limited races we still scored well. Vanbilsen with a great season so far.
Thanks for the update!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Surprised we're not last tbh. Don't think we've got enough points in the team to survive anymore.
Also, we were not in Veenendaal, but have been given 17 points.
Thanks for the update roturn

Fixed the Veenendaal issue.
Only impacted the monthly table as the other is taking points from elsewhere and was correct. |

Thanks for the update Roturn, I'm just not sure if those April results are correct for Swisslion. I don't think we scored 61 pts in Veenendall and we didn't even race Corsica?
The total rankings look correct though. So the positive side is we only dropped 2 places, the negative is that our PpRD puts us just above the relegation zone. With Beltran not racing until July I expect to reach our "real" position quite quickly
It's also apparent now that Beltran can't even come close to challenging Pluchkin for the individual standings, although holding onto 2nd seems possible. Not that it matters since I wasn't smart enough to have individual rankings as a team goal
Edit: nevermind Roturn I just saw it was fixed

Good month from our side, nice jump in the rankings. With Claeys having a lot of RD left and given his recent performances I hope we can go up even further.
Thanks for the update roturn!

It looks like we will fall short of staying in the division which doesn't come as a surprise to us as we were always expecting to go down.
It is nice to see we are in contact with the relegation fight but we would need to continue to step it up a bit to keep our season interesting and make other teams sweat a little.
And it's really nice to see we aren't dead last in the standings as we have a lot of young riders this season and our planning was optimised around their development rather than maximum potential points.

Having a month with not to many race days and not to much use of our top duo, not bad. We are falling down the ranks a bit but that was expected after so many race days in the early season.

Appo and AKA becoming scoring black holes has really hurt us. Juul-Jensen's death has too, but after the first month I came to expect that more.
That was a month we really couldn't afford to have, but we had it. Ready for relegation.

Solid month for us. Would have thought Corsica would be more points, but that difference from 6th to 5th on stages and not getting Top 3's in KOM or Points really impacts things which is a shame since we were one of the most consistent teams in the race.
I think Kinoshita still has lots of race days left, as does Shikai so Im hoping we can move up even further, although lots of hilly riders saving days till the end it seems so lots of competition there.

Nice to see after a very successful April (with not a lot of racing as well) we are well clear of the relegation scrap. We still have race days in hand compared to our competitors and sit 9th in PPRD so we could definitely be in the hunt for promotion, especially if Meintjes comes good later in the season and Bellis continues to perform!!!

Big month for us with survival hopes. Not out of the woods yet and still not favourites, but survival looks a lot more possible than a month ago. So sorry to be fighting against Philips

This was a very good month for the team with a significant rise in the classification.
It will be difficult to improve our ranking but at least this month has allowed us to gain some detachment for the final places of the ranking.
Chiarello has been clearly highlighted by the positive showing that the training and money invested in him ended up paying off. Pedro Paulinho has also been in the spotlight but for the negative, with only 19 points won he is far from offsetting the investment made in the off-season.
Thanks for the update roturn

Have struggled to keep up with things perfectly but thought there were some pretty solid points coming, I guess they were just save, think Summerhill didn't race this month and it was in the hands of Machado to keep us above the line and in that case it's not a bad job, but getting a bit risky there

Still on top even if Ahlstrand was a big upset at Veenendall with barely top 10...
