The last race in the MGUCI calendar before the season ending triple-header! The riders will tackle a circuit consisting of two climbs and a cobbled section which includes a flat part and the entirety of the first climb, fifteen and a half times! The cobbled specialists will be licking their lips at the sight of this race while the others can only hang on for a wild ride. A long race means that stamina would also be a factor to see who has something left in the tank to go for the win at the end.
| Name | STA | COB | ACC | | Burghardt | 77 | 82 | 72 | | Teunissen | 77 | 81 | 69 | | Vanbilsen | 80 | 80 | 71 | | Thomas | 75 | 79 | 78 | | Daniel | 76 | 80 | 72 | | Nolf | 77 | 80 | 71 | | Kamyshev | 81 | 82 | 58 | | Wisniowski | 75 | 79 | 76 | | Altur | 75 | 80 | 68 | | Polanc | 78 | 78 | 75 | | Bush | 75 | 78 | 73 | | Albert | 76 | 78 | 68 | | Van Keirsbulck | 75 | 78 | 68 | | Bakari | 58 | 81 | 60 | | Puccio | 76 | 78 | 55 | | Taillefour | 70 | 78 | 55 |
With the best cobbles skills of any rider on the startlist, Burghardt starts as the top favourite to take the win in this race. With decent acceleration and excellent stamina, he has all the tools required to crack the code here.
While Teunissen is the better cobbler, Vanbilsen's overall skills also make him a top contender for this race.
Thomas, Daniel and Nolf are similar riders in terms of their cobbles skills, with Thomas having a better acceleration, while the other two have better energy. They should be strong top 5 contenders.
Kamyshev is perhaps the most powerful cobbles rider in this race, but his poor acceleration could leave something to be desired when it comes to making the right moves at decisive moments.
Up and comers Wisniowski, Altur and Polanc would be targeting top 10 finishes at the minimum and are outside shots for the top 5. On their day, they are very well capable of pushing the more favoured riders for a podium.
Bush and Van Keirsbulck lead the charge for the CT. Bush will be hoping for a high scoring outcome from this race as the race for the CT crown is likely to go down to the last race.
The other riders who can expect high finishes are mentioned in the table above.

Let's see if we can do a C1 duck season again!

Last chance for Kulppi to prove his cobbles results at Evonik weren't a complete fluke.
Our goal is to finish the season as fast as possible

The preview seems to be surprisingly bad for Polanc. For me he is a clear Top 3 candidate with his Hill/Cobbles/Acc combination. Wisniowski, Vanbilsen, Burghardt, Tsatevich is what seems to be the toughest opposition.

Final race of the season for Wisniowsli. Can crack 1000 points this season if he can get on the podium, so hoping for that!

Interesting you picked STA over HL to focus on, just 180km and a hilly rated race puts HL over STA to me... as does the previous editions of this event.
With that in mind, Marcus should still be considered a favourite, and this is his last chance to revive a rather underwhelming season. It's not been bad, but it's not been anywhere close to expectation. Thomas has history here with pervious reasonable results, perhaps we can get good AI to use him properly.
Could also be a nice race for former podium finisher Grashev, and for overperforming Matthews who can sort of handle hills a little.
We won't do anything on the final day of the season, so this is really our end of the year. I want to go out on a high, or at least being visible! Thank god we're not trying to win survival with this one....
(i'm running out of usable Cobie gifs... thank god the season is ending!)

Time for Arnaud and Danilo to give it one last go, then Gregory leads us at Zuri and we are confirmed staying CT.
I'd love to pick Bakari for Kigali but It'll probably be Wisniowski.
Now if only my season went as nice as those rhymes.

With the hills in mind, I certainly hope to see Debesay going strong in this African race!

The last race of Tom Boonen's career, although he's been completely anonymous this season as you would expect.
With how things have been going lately I'll make my goal for this race to obtain 1 point. Let's see if we can do that.

Not going to happen, but if Kamyshev ever was to win a race, this would be a good one... |

Vanbilsen hasn't won a race yet this year, it's now or never
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The hills will kill Flaksis so this race doesn't have a really good way to go

Awesome by Polanc! <3 Also cool to see Generalli finally have a good day and Jams best of the original break.
Sad for Wisno though, kinda weird to see guys like him dropped.
As for our team, that was a huge step towards safety, breathing a little easier now.
Thank you very much Abhishek! Awesome report!

Well, better that this happens now than when it matters. We've not been really unlucky with this season so it was a matter of time. Funny how Vanbilsen did the exact same thing at the end of last season at the WC.
Anyway, let's wrap up this season asap so I can get my rider training
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Big time result from Polanc, a shame he couldn't close out the season. I am honestly tempted to keep him in PCT, just to give him the opportunity to fight for wins as he did for so often this season. Awesome racer, true Isostar!
Congrats to Podium Ambition though, it was about time. And finally Generali doing well!
Ah, and awesome to see Jams up there in first lane in the break. A glimpse of the future racing of Xero in PCT with Jams back on top of the breakaway fun?

What the fuck Daniel? Why you do this?
This was supposed to be a race where we score decently to have some more points as a gap to the teams outside of the top 10. Eritel now surprisingly did (far) better than us and probably has already passed us.
Congrats TMM and thanks for the report Abhishek! |
