Are stages from older versions of PCM compatible with PCM 16? I know PCM 15 works but do others as well? thanks |

That's sad - how can I play the Man-Game races like Eire Tour and San Marino Hill Classic now?

Easy said than done - most stages are either have no zcts, are lost, or the creator is no longer active (SportingNonsense made the Eire Tour, which in fact is a real 2.2 stage race called An Post Ras). And I don't have Stage Editor to begin with.
It was dumb, dumb, duuuuumb decision by Cyanide to axe the backwards compatability with stages made for titles not named PCM15 or 16.

The WC is in Norway next year, still no DEM files... Talk about dumb decision..

The An Post Ras he made is in the stage db, as are all of sn's stages. So they come along with zcts files.

The problem is that all SN stages made for PCM12 (I guess) have some error when I try open the archive with WinRar - Unexpected end of the archive

Hi,
Sorry for using this thread, but I have another question about stage compatibility. I sticked to PCM15. If the PCM15 stages works in PCM16, is vice-versa works to?
I mean does the PCM16 stages 100% works with PCM15 ? If so I could add more variants to my game.
Thanks |

Newer stages never work for older versions, so PCM16 stages don't work for PCM15

It's impossible for Cyanide to create DEM files over 60 degrees north, so it's not like they don't care.

There has to be a solution for that?

The stage database has had a few problems, the download button has been fixed last year and you can't use the green one, but go in the stage's page such as this one: https://pcmdaily.com/stagedb/stage.php...age_id=918 and click download from it one by one.

1. Open the file in the stage editor
2. Click City-->Rebuild all Cities and wait until the cities are rebuilded
3. Export the stage

Ah yes I've experienced this as well. Open the stage in the PCM15 Stage Editor. Save it there, then open it in PCM16.
On top of the instructions Margh Norway gave you, you should untick Merge Finishline in Border Parameters (after rebuilding cities)
