It's good news for all 30 PCT teams, as like last year all teams will race their top 4 choices of HC Band. All bands in fact have at least one space, leaving all bands still possible to race for PT teams.
The most popular band was Band 4, with 23 teams prioritising this band. With all terrains covered and plenty of classics, it is no surprise that was the most appealing. Band 1 followed closely behind with 22 teams wanting to ride there.
Band 5 meanwhile was least popular, with just 17 out of 30 teams wanting to participate. Many of the teams in this band will be looking to take advantage of this in the races in this band, which includes mostly mountainous and flat races.
The stage race heavy Band 3 has a surprisingly low amount of teams, with 19 participants. Band 2 has 18 teams, while Band 6 has 21.

Oh shit.
Being in the most popular bands probably won't mean much good.
On the other hand, less PT teams is probably a good thing. But I'm mainly worried about the focus of those other teams in my bands

Okay, so 2 "full" bands and 2 "empty" bands. Not too bad, happy with our choices. Thanks FD!

Just more teams to humiliate with our skills on Bands 1+4, and just more chances for points in 2+3. Pretty much the split i'd expected across the Bands so no surprises or disapointments to me. It's much easier to face less teams in .1 races

Still 2 places left in band 1, good news for my ambition to ride my home tour this year. Nice to see all PCT managers got exactly what they wanted as well.

Well that's a relief and it is good to see I've got 3 of the least popular. With the cobbles I sort of figured that might be the case.

No surprise that band 4 is the most populated with its versatile route. Looks like band 6 still has room though .

Glad to have my HC choices, as everyone else did. Band 6 was our major goal with Volta a Portugal in it, but everything is still uncomfortably blurry for a our team at the moment.
Thanks for the effort Froomedog

Thanks for the job done, FroomeDog. Happy I got my chosen bands even if the races will be fiercely contested.

Getting my Top 4 priority is really great even though this obviously means, those band 5&6 races, that suited very well won`t be possible for me.
Realizing in the DB and here that changing my team to Aegon - ... making it very easy to find my team. Nice little change. |
