Hello and welcome to the new project from Costa Rica!
For the first time ever, it is going to take place a profesional cycling team with base in Costa Rica.
Recently, we all have been witnesses to the dominate of Amador, but he was driving for a neighbor country.
And one man, who was especially witnessed by the performance of Amador, was Dev.
The man behind the big costa rican cycling project was also Dev.
One man, one goal; Win a Grandtour, with a costa rican cyclist! |

Interview with the so far, abit unknown manager of BNCR
Inter: Hello, and congratz with the state of a manager of a brand new project.
Dev; Thanks, I'm quite happy with the resources I've been given.
Inter: Well, you didn't get that much but aren't you afraid that's (as you stated earlier)
abit early to think of winning a grand with those resources you've been given?
Dev; I've sad it, and I will say it again, this is not an one-years gotta succed project, but rather a project who could eat up three years without being fired (I hope, atleast).
But can I admit something? I'm not 100% in for winning a grandtour, it's rather what I've said to get the material I need, in the end, my only goal is to make Costa Rica a succesful cycling country!
Inter: With currently 0 riders in your squad you must certainly look forward to the transfer season to begin,
any thoughts about that?
Dev; Defintly, I'm currently looking for future stars of Costa Rica, while also being interested in riders from
the neighbours. And we will definetly try to get the name of a certain superstar of the region.
Inter: While waiting on the transfer season to begin, any rumours of how the jersey would look like?
Dev; Working on the case.
Inter: And lastly, how did you come up with the idea of costa rican cycling yeam?
Dev; Well, cycling is always been in my heart, and Costa Rica is certainly a beatiful country..
...(long thinking pause)...
So, I thought, why not take the challenge?
That's the last word he got out of Dev's mounth. |

Good luck Really like the region you've decided to go for. I like your goal aswell, even though the only guy who can do it will be too expensive atleast this season...

Great jersey, you ain't getting Amador though
Maybe next year once your team is more established, because I'm not very attached to him and I think it would be pretty cool to see him ride for a Costa Rican team.
Welcome to the Man Game though, I think your team will be a very interesting one. Good luck in the transfer season.

I´ve heard that newly found Banco Nacional de Costa Rica already shown their interest about Pokerstars´ Costa Rican Henry Raabe and especially current RR National Champion Marco "Misil" Guillén. Any comments from your HQ?

Transfer Rumours, Update #1
As a newly created team from costa rica, with a costa rican sponsor, the team is very grateful for any costa rican rider we can get! Especially as Guillén and Raabe tops our targets list for 2013.
However with Amador, our staff realize that he's probably to good to race in the CT and he also said himself that he would love to race for his national team, but not if he don't get the opportunity to race a grandtour! |

Heineken is interested to learn if BCR cycling is interested in the Mexican TT champ Bernardo Colex?

Transfer Rumours, Update #2
Nats has always high priority, especially if they're costa rican.
Since we need lots of riders, we will defintly be looking other places than costa rica, mainly spain but probably also some few other places where we could get along with speaking-wise (or extreme talents who we could hire a translator for!)
Both riders are quite decent though and would defintly be nice addons to the newly created conti-team.
But as you all might have noticed, this is a Costarican team with mainly Costarican heros, with a few
exceptions, the team staff is only going very high national heros like Amador, Brenes and such type of talents.
So the coclusion is: the team is looking to hire this nats? yes, but don't expect a giant pay-check for them!

Traning Camp, Pre Season #1
Iven though the team Manager are aware that we don't have any riders on our team yet, he decidet to lineup the staff for a pre season training camp! Taking some ``random`` riders to join their future team, and team mates (hopefully) on a climbing camp in the Alps.
Which showed abit of the Manager future intensions, or was it just a random choice instead a flat, relaxing camp on Mallorca who everybody would have enjoyed?

Revealing Goals for the 2013 season
[C2] Cartago - Irazu: Top 5
It's an must to enter our home race. Since it's in our homeland, we're not going to take a picnic ride either. So, hopfully we get the costarican who can fullfill our dreams about a top 5 spot this season. Just incase we don't get him, we are ready to travel to Italy..
[C2] Geelong Tour: Points
Again with a costarican rider, but this time a sprinter, we truly hope to score some points in this race..
[C1] Olympia's Tour: Stage Win
Same sprinter, different goal, this time a stage win should be more than possible!
[C2] Kwita Izina: Win
We really need a giant climber to pull of this one..
America Tour Team Standings: Top 10
If we atleast get half the riders we're looking for, this should be an easy goal. |
