Olympia's Tour Stage 3
Mresuperstar
i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/Profile_zpsb39e5b90.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/trh_zpsd616c798.png Vantomme is top dog with i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/air_zps84b8db92.png Rowe and Vaitkus listed next.
Then yesturday's winner i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bcr_zps86f2c872.png Guillen followed by i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/sbp_zpsa477b496.png Kreder.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/1_zps48328712.jpg

Rather boring start to the race as we have gone 15kms without an opening attack.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/2_zps47fc8a7f.jpg

We reach the first sprint point without an attack, that makes 71.5kms of easy riding.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/3_zpsa6af5748.jpg

As expect a few of the sprinter go after the bonus seconds.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bcr_zps86f2c872.png Guillen (Wearing Green)
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/trh_zpsd616c798.png Vantomme (Who Gets A Little Boxed In)
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ing_zps78b9af5e.png Kip (Coming From Behind)

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/4_zpsf039d4f2.jpg

Guillen takes it by a few bike lengths cutting his deficit to Cornu from 24 seconds to 18 seconds, and also grabs that green jersey he is wearing outright over Cornu for the moment.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/5_zps9255bf5b.jpg

Vantomme just beats Kip for 2nd. Bringing Vantomme to 14 seconds and Kip down to 10 seconds. The only other sprinter to contest further back in the pack is i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ubi_zps47ce5481.png Van Poppel.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/6_zps3b7f4fe1.jpg

When I said Cornu would probably like a less dramatic day at the end of stage 2, surely he didn't want it to be this boring. 100kms to go, no attacks. If this keeps up Cornu is going to give up more time to the sprinters without a breakaway taking away the sprint checkpoint bonus seconds.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/7_zpsd4684e23.jpg

You would think after saying that somebody would attack...
you would be wrong. Here comes sprint point #2.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/8_zpsfb2835e0.jpg

Kip and Guillen are right next to each other with Vantomme located behind that BPost rider on the left side.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/9_zpsfc5916ec.jpg

Even being a few riders back, Vantomme times his jump to perfection.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/10_zps55aeb608.jpg

And he takes the 6 seconds, the battle for 2nd however is more contest.
If you look to the left i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/sbp_zpsa477b496.png Kreder has entered into the picture.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/11_zps9c14c27f.jpg

Kreder storms up the outside to take 2nd before Guillen hangs on to beat Kip for those last 2 seconds/points.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/12_zps77e72547.jpg

3 riders are dropped for rather no reason other then not paying attention and the have no intention of rejoining the peloton. They coast all the way to the finish and just remain within the time limit to stay in the race.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/aip_zps544721ca.png Hicks
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ing_zps78b9af5e.png Dupont
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/anc_zps34cc1374.png Millar

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/13_zpseeb0c14b.jpg

We hit the only non-flat section on the route, will this affect any of the sprinters? It really shouldn't given the fact they didn't have to chase anybody down today.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/14_zpsdcb1534d.jpg

However, incline does take a victim, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ubi_zps47ce5481.png Kavsek. But he is probably still feeling the effects of his crash yesterday.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/15_zps6582e08c.jpg

Round 3 of the sprinters duel.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/16_zps757f6e35.jpg

Vantomme, Guillen, and then Kip. Their current standings after the sprint:

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/trh_zpsd616c798.png Vantomme (36 Points) (+2" )
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bcr_zps86f2c872.png Guillen (37 Points) (+12" )
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/htc_zps6bfb639a.png Kip (18 Points) (+8" )

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/17_zps6bfaa525.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/bps_zps2b426596.png La Lavandier after protecting Cornu all day has now dropped off the back with 9kms to go.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/18_zpsed974339.jpg

5kms to go, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bcr_zps86f2c872.png BCR and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/trh_zpsd616c798.png Rothaus form two trains at the front.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/19_zpsfa2100c4.jpg

Here comes i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ing_zps78b9af5e.png ING right up the middle! 3 trains!

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/trh_zpsd616c798.pngIglinskii439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ing_zps78b9af5e.pngThirei439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/CT/bcr_zps86f2c872.pngMorales

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/bps_zps2b426596.pngDrujon

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/air_zps84b8db92.png Airbaltic really have split their cards here.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/20_zpsd78ef903.jpg

Iglinski and Morales peel off as Thire jumps out in front and Kip has to reel back in his teammate. While on the far right i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/pvl_zps0bcc4e74.png Fabbri and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ozc_zps749fc2f0.png Keukeleire are entering the picture.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/21_zpsa08595b6.jpg

Kip has totally lost control of his lead-out partner! This allows i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/ubi_zps47ce5481.png Van Poppel to cut him off and the rest of his train.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/22_zps8d59273d.jpg

The remaining lead-out men step aside as Guillen makes his lunge to the finish line with 900 meters to go.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/23_zps28ac06f6.jpg

Unlike yesterday, Guillen has mistimed his jump. Vantomme goes around him on the left and Docker flys by on the right.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/24_zpsb660ba94.jpg

And then Rowe and Van Poppel are around Guillen. He goes from 1st to 5th just like that.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/25_zps673029a9.jpg

It's wheel to wheel!

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/26_zps456e83fa.jpg

Docker pulls away from a late fading Vantomme for the win!
And his teammate Rowe takes 3rd.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/27_zpsb236b865.jpg

Behind it's Van Poppel, Vaitkus, the Sweedbank duo of Kreder and Hushovd. 8th to Traksel with Van Loocke in 9th. Guillen slips all the way back to 10th.

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/28_zps8f8bc7ae.jpg

In terms of the overall picture, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys/PCT/bps_zps2b426596.png Cornu's time is up...

i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j335/mresuperstar2/Man-Game/Reports/Olympias%20Tour/Stage%203/29_zpsb31479e5.jpg

Vantomme wins 2 sprint points and gets 2nd in the other combined with a 2nd at finish gets you a new leader of the Olympia's Tour.
