That Waeytens, pure comedy. But I saw good things from Moscon, our future team leader.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

A GC Top15 is something that could be expected in a field like this, but despite Barrio giving it a try in a group with way better puncheurs around, we've ridden a very anonymous race here. Which is shown by the fact that we are the ONLY team in the race that hasn't scored a single point up until Stage 6
Though at the end we'll end up with a decent scoring from this race, if we can hold on that 2nd place in Teams, Duchesne and Barrio don't drop places randomly in the final flat stage.
A real shame to miss out on the win in Teams because of random splits in the end of some hilly stages. Congrats to Matt for the GC win (i know there's one stage left, but...) and great reports as always roturn!

Top 5 in GC, KOM and U25 means a decent points haul from this race. Just needs a stage win from Haller to put the cherry on top

The Breakaway Kings are Back Baby!
The stage made for Bouhanni is won in the end by Le Gac! The young man continuing his great work from last season here. Not only does he come away with a stage win but also 3rd in the KOM, 7th in Points, 5th in U25 and sneaking into the Top 50 of the GC.
In the end those 2 stage wins are a blessing following the loss of decent GC placings on stage 2. Thanks roturn for the reports coming at speed and great quality!

Not good enough in the GC, but Orlov fought well here at least...

Got what we came for here with a Top 10 from Rui. Had hoped Nava would've been more towards the front in the stages but he was quite invisible and only managed minor points. The best race out of the triple header for sure.
Congrats on the win Matt and thanks for the reports roturn

Of f..ing course. Again we are missing in a winning breakaway, because our riders surely have something better to do staying in the peloton...
So we lost a spot in the Teams ranking thanks to this breakaway. Nice. Really disappointing race in our first ever failed goal
Thanks to roturn for the great reports!

A breakaway 8th marks the end of our adventure in Poland. Happy to see us joining the breaks, we're gonna need it this season.
4th is not what we wanted, there were so many more points up for grabs, both in stages as well as the classifications. As I expected one bad stage was simply not allowed. Not the end of the world of course, but if we will fall under the relegation mark, this race will certainly become one to blame.
Thanks for the reports roturn. Grats to Matt for the win and Eden for his surprise second. |

Had a feeling we’d see Kaczmarek in the break again today, really pleased the sprinters’ teams didn’t work well enough to catch the break. The Teams classification is beyond any of my expectations, such a nice way to perform in front of the home fans! Adding to that are the GC points from Barbin, Vanendert, Eyob and Pavarin, and I’m really pleased with how we’ve salvaged this race
Thanks so much for the reports roturn, and congrats on the results to Matt, Eden, and LLS for the stage. Euskaltel, the breakaway kings, seem to be at it again this year. They’ll need much more of that throughout the year to stave off the drop to CT. Good luck!

AKA with another overachieving sprint. If only the break had been caught. So many breakaways, and we're not in any of them. Yuck. So many teams here could have done work to get the break back, including us. But alas, we settle for a top 10. Still, our sprint results here are something for AKA to be proud of in his first true test. Hopefully we'll see more of that throughout the year.
Thanks for all the wonderful, fast reports!

Congrats to the high scorers, but I have something to say.
Typical Polish, once again screwing Lithuanians over, not ev en inviting Baltic teams to their flagship event.
Polish teams better not be at Baltic Chain Tour, Riga Jurmala etc.

What an absolutely brilliant race! First things first, seeing Hermans win a half-bunch sprint was one of my biggest wtf moments as a manager, especially with Ulissi in his same group, but I guess I can attribute that to PCM's super clever hilly stages with a flat finish AI. Not like I'm going to complain about it, but without Hermans taking the stage this would have just been yet another 2nd place by Ulissi behind a much worse sprinter, and without stage 6 this could have played a part in losing out to Anuar and others in the GC. I guess sometimes we're also bound to profit from awful AI too, but love to see my team working in the front so often, didn't think the added depth would turn out to be so effective so soon.
Despite the lack of stage wins from Ulissi himself, which by now I'm accustomed with, the consistency and aggression he's showing is quite terrific. Couldn't resist Anuar's attack in stage 3 but still outshined several better puncheurs on paper in a stage that didn't even suit him, keeps up with Lutsenko and outlasts him three stages later whilst gaining back his top GC spot AND the points lead that belonged to him. Really stunning performance, but I really hope some stage victories are going to show up in his 2018 resume as well!
Congrats to all others that did well here and thanks roturn for bringing luck to our hilly team so far

Great to get a GC podium here! Schreurs consistent throughout the race. It would always be hard to win this race in this field, and I think we got the max out of this race.
Thanks for the reports

Happy with the GC result but less impressed with us not attempting to join the breakaway when we have nothing to gain by staying in the bunch... oh well missed out on a possible stage win because of that...

Ion "lazy assss" Izagirre didn´t surprise and finished far beyond places where I´d like to see him according to huge money spent for his long-term training.
Who surprised positively though, was Alexis Gougeard. Winning KOM competition is still very rare for my (most of time) hilly-shy team! Luckily, Alexis kept his fighting spirit from last year´s Tasmania Tour and turn this race from abysmal to decent one for me.
