Kluge is a really weird rider in the lead after 2 hilly stages and a TT.
I don`t mind though, Pokerstars had lots of bad luck in the GTs and hence deserve some good luck here.
I was really worried after the crash/block with Boom behind and thought, that`s it. Not even a top10 now in his perfect race.
But then he attacked and you got my hope up. And he delivered. 3rd in GC is exactly where an alrounder like him is supposed to be in that race as history showed. Pity he might never win the GC here while being close so many years.
Now a final stage to bring everything home safely.
Thanks for the reports and also congrats to Kenya! Kwiatek was a big gamble here as GC hope, but it paid out as stage hunter at least. |

I can't believe we bring two 82 riders here and likely won't even score 50 points more than the bare minimum for finishing.

Seriously? Not a single mention that Pre race favorite, and 5th place in the GC prior to the stage lost 9!!! minutes and thus lost what would normally be a very very Secure top 5? When Reading the report you get the feeling that he is just safely somewhere in the pack.
I know Tom David usually isnt interesting, but this is the perfect match for skill set, and he was lined up perfectly to take a podium spot. Also Coppel lost 9-10 minutes. That surely have to be of some interest...
From being a good race this turned out to be fucking retarded.
EDIT: Yeah, and sorry for being a dick, but it's just extremely frustrating...

Not too bad. Top 25 overall for Polnicky, good result.
Thanks for the report.

Kristoff riding perfect for his abilities on the hills just makes the huge time loss on the cobbles even more frustrating. Had he raced normal there, he could very well have been third overall now.
Huge move and win by Kwiatkowski, congratulations, FroomeDog! Also very surprising to see Boom outsmart Van Avermaet on the hills and push the Belgian out of the podium on the stage at least I expected him to win the race on.
Thank you for the report, trekbmc. |

What a ride from Kwiatkowski! He's had some tough luck with crashes this season, nice to see him delivering in the PT like I thought he could. Thanks for the report. |

This might just be enough for Pokerstars to survive, glad this could come at such an important time for them after so much really tough luck.
Thanks for the reports trek!

Gusev still 2nd, this could be our most surprising result of the season!

Rider in top 5? check.
Another rider in top 10? check.
Another rider in top 20? check.
It will be a very good race for eBuddy if nothing happens in the last stage.
Ah, just realized Degenkolb can actually spoil my party #nopodiumfordegenkolb

Sorry for my silence guys; was on holiday.
I think this is a very cool race, so it saddens me that I don't have any riders who can do well here. This is definitely something I will look to improve on in the off-season.
Pokerstars doing so well is very interesting for the relegation battle. Congrats!
Thanks for the reports trek!

Easily the most disappointing race all season not involving Ciolek. Thanks for the reports.

Had a hope for a more selective hilly stage, but even with out that, I'll have to say that I'm very happy with the performance from the team here. Three riders top 15, U25 and 2nd in the Team GC is by far the best result we've had as a team this season.
Thanks for the reports, trek.

Disappointing race for me - annoyed by gap rulings - unhappy about the AI - not happy at all.
Congrats to beagle. I like Kluge a lot and i think it's quite cool to see him shine again after he performed so well last season.

Finally the race is over. Thanks for the reports
Looking back, this could have been a great race for us, that could potentially have rocketed us into a very solid lead, but losing ~100 points due to Tom David dropping that much hurts a bit clearly. But not more, than we still are the 2nd best team of the top 5 - Only Aker managed to outscore us, and that by a mere 5-10 points I believe.
Those just behind the top 5 all scored extremely well, though and made the battle for the top spots all that more interesting. Great races from Aegon, eBuddy, Evonik, BPost and Tinkoff, although especially Evonik could have gotten away with even more. Then a small gap, and some teams not doing anything in particular here: Pendleton's, Bouygues, RBC, Gazelle and Movistar.
Then those relegations teams... Wow. Some serious points were made in the bottom. Of course, Pokerstars as the huge winner here landing something like 600 points or more. That should move them well clear of the relegation zone - for now. But teams like Movistar and Gazelle could be right back in the fight, as Jayco'z scored well while also scoring great in the HC classic.
It could be a very frantic fight for survival for some teams, although there seems to have been a gap down. Kenya and Grieg were always going to have a fight, but also Orange and Red Bull find themselves stuck, with quite some work left to do. Also too much, I would think.
Now to see Schleck get the perfect season, by winning in Liechtenstein. I hope the combo of Spilak and Lecuisinier can get a decent enough pointshaul to open up a bigger gap to the other top 5 teams (except for Vesuvio).

Thanks for the reports, trek. Surely not the most impressing TONE event in the race`s history but still a decent one I`d say.
It`s always a bit of a gamble in that race as so many different riders can win.
It`s nice to see that the top alrounders are in the top areas except a few. So it`s always worth to keep a rider like Boom in the PT, which is excellent as he is so good in so many different things but lacks the strength in all individual areas.
3rd in the GC by him is clearly quite lucky I must admit seeing his struggle in the first half, where he underperformed, just to end the race overperforming. So in balance, quite okay I think.
2nd in points and Bovenhuis for the first time really showing his "low" alround skills here by grabbing the KoM jersey is a nice bonus.
Great to see a strong Pokerstars here. Much deserved in such race with that lineup.
Pity for SotD in especially for missing on David in some kind of crash. |

This was probably our last big race of the season and we delivered. Hopefully we will be in the top 10 at the end of the season.
Thanks for the reports!

Nice last stage by Senyenov. Our total score in this race is pretty lackluster though and Pokerstars did great business here. Interesting developments in the relegation battle.
