Schleck with an early statement this season, no stopping the World Champion! Congratulations, SN.
A happy surprise to see Galta and Nesset climb to 15th and 16th on the stage. Both were probably on a good day, but a top 20 overall here from one of them would be very nice.
Thank you for the report, sgdanny! |

Koch
That's the kind of performances I want to see from my climbers all season long. They cannot compete with the top guys so I need them to fight in breaks and go for KoM points and he did that perfectly!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Schleck is too good for this field and he proves that with absolute ease.
Meanwhile Boeckmans benefits from the bonus PCM 15 annoyingly gives to the points jersey holder. Some say it makes you unstoppable in sprints and gives you +10s in all other stats. We had the proof today
Top stuff danny, congrats SN and CA.

Nerz had a better hilly stage than mountain stage...
Also still no breakaway attempt. It starts to become ridiculous.

Evonik seems to perform (overperform) in almost every single race so far. What a start... Becherovka might be leading the PT, but surely Evonik are 2nd...

Not. Good. Enough. At. All.
At least a presence from Giogieri in the breakaway. Hoped for something more from Velits though...

Very happy to see Hansen going in the breaks and showing Red Bull colors.

Not sure where exactly my team is (a ranking update would be cool!) but keep in mind i needed this start to avoid relegation. Mind you how many mountain races are still coming where i will lose lots of points!

Horrible Paris -Nice for us so far, Karnulin is very disappointing, at least Petrovski tried to be in the break, but no success there.
Congrats to the winners and thanks for reports!

Well I know where the different teams are - But your position was primarily meant as a no brainer as to how you and Becherovka have performed in the start. I think it is great that a newly promoted team can build a team like that. I think you will be in top 3 after February depending on Milano San Remo, where you should be among the top 3 scoring teams - If nothing crazy happens.
I do agree that you have the lack of climbers to pose a serious threat towards the overall, but if you keep getting atleast the amount of points you should (or in your part - more) then you should be ending up around 5-10th, which is great as a debuting manager for sure. Especially with your history of promoting!

Too bad Stancu couldn't get the KoM jersey today as I doubt tomorrow's hilly stage will suit him. The KoM jerseys here and in Tirreno would have been awesome.
Leading the teams classification is nice though.

Schleck as dominant as ever! Best climber for sure. A pity tht Pluchkin is going 2 GT way as this way it`s very hard to really know this for sure seeing rare clashes with him.
Keizer about where he should finish. That said, still unlucky that he always is just behind the first split while Lecuisinier, Kunshin, Van den Broeck were luckier this time gaining this time way.
Wonder if a non injured Daan Olivier could have delivered Keizer into the first group once. |
