The team could really be a bit more active in the breaks, e.g. Boom/Vliegen mainly but as it`s a flat start in the first week, there is not much chances and it might be better to save engery indeed. That said, I fear those hill riders will then again attack in the first upcoming mountain stages instead, which isn`t much better neither.
Luckily Herklotz wasn`t as well in the time gap group as otherwise this would have been a bit more annoying than sprinter time gaps.
Congrats redordead for this nice little win of Saber, who too often underperformed this season and thanks for the nice report cunego. |

Good stage from Enger, pleasantly surprised he had good positioning for once and grabs a nice stage podium in the process. Still a few more chances of a stage win before it gets real lumpy as well.
Meintjes lost no time as well and really should be in a good position after the first TTT as well which is essential for us.

Oh it looked so interesting there for a while with Nizzolo jumping, but it was far too early unfortunately. 5th is his best result all season so I guess I’ll have to be content.
Vlatos in the break was nice to see although he would be my last pick ever for a break :-)

Another really strong result from Jakobsen who is loving the GT sprints at the moment. After 5th and 4th, hopefully tomorrow is his time to shine to get a podium or better!

Glad Madrazo showed some form. Tao losing white is a shame though

Congratulations to our wildcard team!
Cherish that moment and aim to add more wins as a PT team one day.
Herklotz and Cavagna were attentive towards the front, and who knows what the two bonus points for 14th may be good for. Also we've got a couple of shots of our two jerseys together!
It's annoying that the sprint broke the peloton in two pieces yet again, as both of our guys could've been in the mix for a lower Top 10 in the slipstream, picking up empty leadouts or even some of the main sprinters on the line.
But, our first day in yellow has been navigated safely, onto the next in the same fashion please!

Good stuff from Yzeiraj. I can't ask for more than that. Fingers crossed we continue to try! |

Another great ride by Groselj in the breakaway. Maybe someday he will be able to go all the way
Saber is really picking the right wheels to follow so far, 2nd is another great result. Ahlstrand wins like he should though. Congrats Viking
Thanks for the report Cunego

Brilliant stuff from our team today. Nizzolo with another 5th - this one more regular coming a bit from behind, where he went backwards yesterday.
Sending Kastrantas to the break was genious really. He finally get's to wear a KOM jersey this season. Last season he wore KOM in the two GT's he rode.
I'm fully aware that it will be lost again tomorrow unless he goes into the break again, but we have to cheer for the little succeses in this race. Close to 175 points 5 stages in is very very good. I know we won't be keeping that up, but if we can somehow claw 100 points in pr. 5 days of racing from here on it would be a great race for us.
Please Kastrantas - one more try tomorrow!

8th is slightly disappointing from Jakobsen but at least he’s still up there mixing it with the best! Not in the worst position in the green jersey competition either.

May be just me, but how can it be dissapointing to have such results from a sprinter that on paper shouldn't be in the top 10?

Not sure how to rate this stage. Same mistake of Dzamastagic launching way too early again like yesterday which hurts especially when we had a great position behind the EA trio in the sprint preparation. 4th is alright i guess but hurts when the top 2 in the fight for green (rn) also finish 1-2. And then there is this weird opportunity in the temporary GC which looks very interesting and totally unexpected. A podium tomorrow would be worth a lot and it looks like the most Van Stayen profile possible!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Really happy for Swisslion. Also Festina again grabbing all the luck they could today, an awesome season for them. |

Breakaway luck is hardly something we have gotten this season though
Except for the 1-2 i Switzerland we have gotten nothing at all. But it's nice that it seems to be coming back somewhat. It's now we have the opportunity, as the final week is easily too difficult for the riders I have here

As much as I like Ahlstrand winning here for Volvo as bad it is for our relegation battle.
Anyway, I don`t think it will be between our two teams here in the end, so congrats.
Other than that luckily the time gaps not helping any GC rider even though the almost GC leader change was neither ideal. |

Just purely based off him somehow managing 4th on an earlier stage
But I definitely see what you mean and I’m very pleased that he’s doing as well as he is!

Nice to see Krigbaum attacking and being a worthy breakaway guy on the biggest stage.
