Interesting off season in the works here for sure! Must admit that I lifted a brow when I saw that Howard was cut from the team, end of an era.

A Kennett return would be very sweet for me indeed - though I’m sure lots of people would love him to go to their squads!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I'm shocked to see Taylor Gunman for sale!
Maybe it's time for Tom David to come home though

Bevin can't believe this team is about to become less Kiwi instead of more Kiwi...
Impressive consistency throughout the years, although I can imagine you'd love to finally break through eventually.

Bevin.... something, that always would have made sense, but never meant to happen.. might be the first year, where we won't talk about him!
And yes, would love to break through and finish higher than 11th.

"Money can make as many problems as it solves.."
after some busy, dramatic first days of the transfer season, we finally calmed down a bit and we're ready to present the first wave of free agent signings for amaysim cervélo (formerly known as bennelong): certainly some big news, as we did not only spend a lot of wage cap, but also head back to "real" cobbles after last year's unsuccesful attempt with tom david as our leader on this terrain (those news will follow).
danny summerhill (picture above, on the left), who dominated last year's pct's pavé, will join our team for at least one year! without any doubt one of the very best specialist on the cobbles, but also a classy roleur, who may also cover some lost points due to our loss of leigh howard (other news). amaysim cervélo (also formerly known as (jayc)oz cycling project) never really pushed hard on the cobbles, except of two years with marcus burghardt as our leader. he had some ups and downs, will never be forgotten though - but now our hopes rise for a somewhat dominating performance on the big classics.
summerhill will get some support of course: beside our very own talents callum scotson and cyrus monk, we added some (international) depth in the last three days.
sameera chatarunga, patrick naud and hamish schreurs (picture above, on the right) are expected to provide some solid support on the pavé, with particularly patrick naud promising an allround package, that will help summerhill on the more hilly cobbled classics. of course we would like to express a special "welcome back" to hamish, who once rode for us as a loanee.
the overall package certainly didn't give us some chilling days (which is - again - other news), but we're happy to finally announce the signings.

Well my Plan A was Summerhill - it's been even longer since I had a go at cobbles - so will be interesting to see how he does for you! Would say my transfers ended up better with not getting Summerhill, so I should thank you for that

Summerhill raced all those classics anyway through wildcards so not that much changes due to him joining the division permanently |

thanks for the feedback, guys. we wanted a clear change and got it. definitely didn't go as planned though and it hurts, that we didn't get (or went) for pthc band 2 (in which he failed hard with tom david last year).. but at least things will be interesting this year and we finally have a shot at winning a monument (which we only had once with marcus burghardt in our team, finishing rvv as 2nd, iirc)..
"Be fast or be last.."
in addition to our signings on the free agent market we also managed to get a couple of deals done with other teams. sondre holst enger certainly as our 'queen transfer' this year, joining us from cycleYorkshire for a 750,000€ fee.
the norwegian sprinter ain't expected to replace leigh howard, as they come with a different skill pack, but of course we hope to still get some well needed points from the sprinting sector. opposing to howard, enger adds interesting skills in both time trials and particularly prologues, something that our former main sprinter surely lacked. with also dylan kennett (news about leaving riders will follow) not on our team anymore, that adds definitely a different approach to our season plan this year.
jan ghyselinck joined our team late in the transfers in a straight swap deal including taylor gunman. with our ttt depth being cut down to a level, that a team formerly known as the world's best ttt outfit usually won't derserve, we at least wanted to add an experienced rider, who can captain the few tt riders left on amaysim's roster.
sondre holst enger | 28 years old | wage: 170,000€

Summerhill is a guy you can justify just dropping everything and going for. Congrats!
I know you were sad to lose Roe, but we hope that it all ends up being worth it to fulfill the grand plan!

I like some of the signings you've made, particularly Summerhill but I will certainly follow Enger and his exploits for you. Hopefully he manages more for you than he did for me at times!
