Grieg and cycleYorkshire set for some great GC scores to help them in their respective promotion fights. Unfortunate that Stannard was denied, but Ignatiev must have really fired up to let Ferrero get that close and to secure the GC win.

Quite unusual to see Grieg's ITT best be so bad in the TTT, but he does have the worst TT stat of the team, so that probably says more about the variability of ITT results!

Well that stage and second sector was just a load of complete and utter bull shit, this game has just screwed us completely and made this a low point scoring race when we should have got much better. Cornu should have been able to pull on his own and it doesn't help our second best TT rider Terpstra crashed out. I'm not impressed....

Well, I can't be unhappy with 9th in the TTT tbh. It was great having Grabovski in 4th for a while but we knew we would drop down the standings here. Still, holding on to 12 would be very good in this race.

Great stage from Grieg, Generali and cycleYorkshire, the latter making our lives that much harder now.

Thanks for the report Tamijo Smile

Cool to see Grieg and cycleYorkshire doing so well. Close one for Stannard though.

Huge race for cycleYorkshire as we could expect. They are defenitely passing us in the rankings Frown

Was always going to be a gamble indeed, who didn't get dropped and so on. Just now realised that Atkins, eight seconds behind the GC lead, also got dropped by eight seconds in the TTT, despite being one of our strongest five on paper Pfft Ah well, can't be too unhappy after a win like that.

To be fair, you have one of the worst TTT setups in the game. Having a 81TT rider won't make anything, and eventhough it is unlucky to lose your 72TT rider it would still be a miracle if you had a good TTT result. The gaps between the best and the rest is simply too big. You need atleast 3 75+ TT riders to supplement Cornu and Terpstra to fight for anything that resemblances a top 5.

I have 83-81-77-77-76-72 when I put my best TTT setup together, and that won't win me anything. The AVR of the TT'ers are easily enough to get top 3's on regular basis, but 11 stat difference between the 1 and 6 will almost always fuck up the result unless he is quickly dropped. Then you have to be lucky that none of the 77-76 riders have a bad day aswell and that the 83 and 81 rider will be the once taking the most turns (which seems rather random).

The only way of securing top TTT results is to have a good and general level. It could be 6-7 riders with 77-78TT (I have done that for many years) or some top level TT'ers with some 76TTers to help (I have done that aswell). Everything else doesn't work, or only work when lucky.

Even Jayco struggles to find the best possible balance - and my guess is that it's because there's too much difference between the best and the worst, and that the worst might even struggle in the smallest of speedbumps.

I'm always so damn proud when we don't finish last in a TTT given my complete apathy to the discipline in the MG and that i don't give it any budget space Grin

We got a nice picture out of that. Pfft

Amazing for CycleYorkshire, congrats! Also of course to tastasol on a lot of points for you. Smile

And thanks again Tamijo, the report was very clear and detailed. Smile

Well, this seems to be the second time in the team's history that Stannard has missed out on this race by narrow margins, we also take solace in knowing that Robert would have won if he wasn't so bad Pfft

I would say that this was a great result for us, shame we missed out on the win, maybe we underperformed slightly in the TTT. I would have liked us to have been closer to Greig, but it seems that they were on an exceptional day.

Overall, 3 people in the top 10 is a good result for us, we have garnered a handy amount of points if we manage to avoid disaster in the last stage but I'll take nothing for granted due to what happened in Bayern. Smile

Also congrats to Ferrero for 'stealing' the result here against the other TTT teams Grin

28th in the GC is a bit disappointing, but at least we get the Points Jersey and some stage win points from there as expected.

Well, this has been a bit of a rough trip to the Netherlands. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to comment much the past few days, but Mullen and Gradek's relatively decent start was predictably wrecked by the TT train. A trainwreck, if you will. Frown

Good effort by Lindgren, but not as strong as Kenny. Always good to see a former rider winning though, congrats Marco!

Overall a very good race for us, surviving the last stage without any problems. Congrats to Spilak on getting the GC win!

That's not something I expected. Another 2nd place today despite horrible positioning. Too bad the pack messed up the chase, but still a very nice result Smile

Good results for some Oceanian riders: Atkins, Dennis and Archbold doing fine. Nice to see!

Thanks for the reports and congrats to Ferrero on the GC win!

De Haes is awesome, his second breakaway victory of the season already!

Thanks for the reports Tamijo, a pleasure to read them. Congrats to Ferrero on the GC victory!

Grabovski lost a spot but the Vans gained one each on the last stage. Per with some points too. Can't be unhappy with 23 points from a race where we expected none Grin

Congrats Spilak on the win and thanks Tamijo for the reports Smile

Thanks for the reports, a race with little expectations gave us a nice stage win!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
