Congrats to SN and Mre for stage and GC honours assuming no surprises on the last stage which I expect to be a breakaway win meaning Kreder will not have a chance to improve on his 3rd in points classification.
Happy with the AI letting Mehr-Wenige go for a GC placing after Kreder was dropped but Kreder continued his good form and got back on by the end while Mehr-Wenige did not have the legs.
More great reporting of the Queen stage, thanks tsmoha.

PCM AI: How can we fuck Isostar up this time? Oh yes, let's make the 6 best riders in the race for Isostar crash, 1 to crash out, 2 two times, 1 3 times. I'm fucking done.
This race was another disgrace.

As someone who manages Lachlan Morton, I feel with you guys. Costa with some truly bad luck.
But to be fair, fintas: Paulinho 8th, McEvoy 14th, Bauer KoM, 1st in teams. It ain't all to forget

Amazing. TVG proves time and time again that he deserves to be called an elite punchuer. That's exactly how you cap off a GC victory in style.
Much credit has to go to Tsatevich as well by pulling Froome's first attack back (who gave everything he had at TVG), and Tsatevich got rewarded with a 15th overall finish.
While basking in this glory is nice, I can't help but feel bad for all the crash victims here. Especially, our former captain Rui Costa. He deserved better.
Many thanks to tsmoha for the reports, always fun to read.

obvious that ends up not being a bad race if you take into account everything that happened ... It just feels that this could be another great race for the team were it not for Rui Costa's falls. From what he came to demonstrate could have fought for the final podium

Far too many crashes in this race, and with many impacting the GC too. About that crash ratio...
So Craven was the man for the breakaway, and he rides it well. Relieved that Teklit was amongst the best of those to crash in limiting losses, and particularly to hold on to the prestige of a Top 10 finish. Comfortable finiah for Venter too - great turn around in the final 2 stages, all the sweeter being his home race.
I've swapped 7th, 8th, 27th and 28th for 6th, 10th, 20th and 27th - so that probably works out quite similar. 2nd in the Teams is nice too.
Thanks for the reports tsmoha, and congrats to Mre and others who had a good race!

PCM is such a bitch sometimes, gotta feel for fintas indeed.
I feel like I'm a broken record at this point, but I struggle to believe that a PCT top puncheur with the highest sprint can never, ever win a goddamn sprint. Really sucks.
Congrats Mre for the huge point haul and thanks again tsmoha.

Aww. It sucks to see crashes having such a big impact on the race. Really too bad for those involved. Mohoric losing the white is a bummer, while I do love seeing Le Gac doing this well.

Wow. from 6th GC to 18th due to a crash. Just terrible luck. There goes any decent points haul we were going to get, which we badly needed.

A pretty good race for the Euskaltel team. Caruso taking a quality stage win and a temporary GC lead. Le Gac had a very strong race and I'm happy with the 9th in the GC and winning the Youth Classification. Zingle managing a Top 20 and Caruso Top 30 also means a couple much needed points.

Yet again a crappy race for Compal. Just send us to CT ASAP to avoid more humiliation.
Thank you tsmoha for making this race worthwhile following anyway, great reports as usual!
And really exciting last stage. Many points missed/gained in the final here. |

Great race, congrats to Mre on the win with TvG proving his class. Im happy to fly under the radar here and have Reichenbach slide in at 5th overall without getting caught in crashes. Really looking forward to the ranking update for this month.

Congratulations to Mresuperstar
I'm convinced, was one of those bastards to want 100% crash, but not anymore that seems to be way too high.

Shame I could not follow this race live cause it is my favourite race on the calender along with Japan. Double shame that I could not send a full powered squad to this race because of the clash with il Giro.
Palini stayed in the right groups on the hilly stages. We lost quite a bit more than I expected in the TTT but think two of our guys were injured plus Ignatiev had been in all the breaks. A bit of luck in the final to move up a couple spots because of crashes but you lose some you win some. Very encouraging ride from Palini. Generally don't expect much from him but 7th is very good. Walker and Pavarin also in the top 20 means we score a good amount of points here.
