Obviously not what we were hoping for, luckily we only put this as a top 5 goal and not a win, so somehow we did accomplish our seasonal goal here. Thanks for the reports (even though the results sucked).

How cruel.
Sorry Ollfardh. Never nice when it happens but still always quite funny. |

Never nice when PCM acts funny but at least in this case it was a 3rd and 4th place Ollfardh still took home!

Despite only getting one decent stage result. I am very happy with Jeremy Roy walking away with a very surprising 5th in the GC. He loves proving his doubters and critics wrong and he has certainly done that here.

Thanks for an exciting and hilarious final sprint stage! Kozontchuk 14th overall isn't bad, we'll take that! |

Oh boy.. 2nd in GC, 1st in Points, best team and two stage wins in a row, momentum! - we certainly got our share of points here. Honestly I think we would have been worse if Langeveld had just got the leader's jersey on day 1. Very happy with the outcome now, gratz to Ian and his team for an outside win of a nice race. At least with stage 1 going to a break, all other stages went to stage favourites.
Too bad for trek being beaten twice so close really, especially with the strong work their sprint train did here. Even worse though for Ollfardh with Stuvyen and Van Asbroeck taking not enough time to get on the podium.
Thanks for another great reported set jandal, some great lines and remarks along the way.

My team was in this race!? 4 guys in the top 20 of the stage, too little, too late.

This race has been a success for Evonik. Despite having no stage results we have multiple riders well placed in the GC. 3 of our high flat guys finished in the Top 20 and Marzuki wasnt far off. Add minor points for youth and team classification and I should go home with roughly one hundred points which is a great outcome from a HC race for a PT team.
Congrats to the PCT teams who did extremely well: Sancor with the big surprising GC win and of course our friends @ Strava for yet another fantastic race!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Damn. Gougeard almost saving this horrible race for us. Atleast we were in the attack for once. Congrats to all who did well, especially my fellow PT collegues who seem to do a much better job at fiddling these PCT races than me, despite me trying hard to get a few riders in that could pose a threat on these races such as Haller and Stepniak while already having riders like Le Gac, Kastrantas and Gougeard.
Not good enough to do anything though. Perhaps we can get a wildcard to a CT race

Also a nice win for Ian and another good showing by the Evonik guys!

Pretty meh race for us, expected more from Petit but also expected a weaker sprint field so can't be too shocked. Laporte being dropped on the final stage and missing out on a top 15 is pretty frustrating too. Thanks for the reports jandal |

PCM is cruel, letting Ollfardh get zabel'd and giving the stage to the wrong rider, Vantomme clearly won!
Pretty good race for us, Sobota being uninterested ruined stages 2 and 3 for us (maybe he crashed or something) but 2nd on the last two stages is really really nice, love to see our lead out train working smoothly.
Congrats Shonak on a great race, and thanks a lot jandal for the reports!

Sad to see Stuyven throwing away his brave ride. Would've been the first to congratulate as it has meant Appollonio winning the points competition.
Other than that we had a good race. Appollonios performance makes us sorting the '4 jours' in the better than expected column.
Gratz to Sancor for the surprise victory and thanks to jandal for great reporting and the detailed finish results tables!

PCM never ceases to amaze In its defense it must be said that this race isn't that easy to compute anyway.
Congrats to Sancor anyway. Good luck some other time Ollfardh.
Forgetable race for us. Thanks for the vivid reports, jandal!

Well by popping back in after a month I've learned that SanCor is finally on its way to conquering the world.
I guess this is a great farewell gesture from Biondo to a fantastic team, as I'll be leaving the ManGame, since I've left the site altogether.
Thanks everyone in the ManGame for a great experience, especially reporters who really carry this game with great depth and quality.
Sorry to have left so sudden, maybe I'll be inspired one of these days to write a proper goodbye in my HQ, to give SanCor some sort of closure.
But this victory kind of says it all.
That SanCor can surprise anyone at any given moment
that our hearts were always greater than our talent.
But sometimes that's all it takes. |
