Great ride from Sanchez today! Must've had some very good daily form given all the attacks and still managing second, really pleased with that. Being beaten by Vastaranta brings back CT nightmares though.
Congrats Atlantius and thanks Roturn!
Or perhaps he is just a beast
I like that result a lot. Vastaranta with an early point for the Bull of the Month award and LLS strong as ever.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Wow, both of my guys did horribly when they should have been towards the front. There goes this race for me. Strong ride by Vastaranta though, that's pretty cool.

Impressive just as surprising win by Vastaranta, gratz to Valio!
Happy we finally started racing, too.
Zardini won't get the most-attentive-award, but showed good legs when it counted the most. Stage suddenly made a top10 a lot more realistic.
Big investment by Pat Lane riding most of the day alone in the sun. Still needs a little luck tomorrow to not lose the KOM-jersey... otherwise he'll keep it at least until stage 7, making the day out a well spend efford.

Woah, pretty action packed first hilly stage! Looks promising
Costa always being on the alert is nice to see, aswell with not losing time to froome makes this a good stage.
Bit shame to lose out on the jersey with 2 seconds here, but congratz atlantius anyway, what a beast Vastaranta was here! Seeing those riders present here + the results of the first hilly stage, I'd really wish a had picked more leaders here.

Also great to see our countryman Roglic doing well

Vastaranta? That was unexpected!
Yo be honest I would be happy to have a rider in a top 50 position after this stage, when not seeing any Compal riders at all in the screens, but somehow Visconti was in the mix anyway and secured a very important top15 placement.
He's an okay roleur so this can be funny if he can hang on a bit more
Great action packed report! |

Wonderful surprise from Vastaranta. Did not expect this. Dreamt that he would be allowed to do something like this when he'd lost some on early stages but never thought he could do it on this one

Visconti has been an excellent buy-in for you imo as already shown in the early season races.
Not the very best stat wise and also regressed but still a rider that is always hanging and getting results here and there. |

So this was both good and bad on the same time. Good that so many riders lost time today and bad because no time was taken on the key guys. I don't rate next stage and it will most likely end in a sprint. Froome looked desperate to set the pace and on the final climb it seemed to have taken a toll on him.
So basically Froome has to collect around 2 minutes of time on stage 6 for us to win this and I don't see that happening. Will be happy to content for the Top 3 once more, but you'll never know. Overall lots of riders had worse days, so it makes up for not getting time in the end

Amazing ride by Reichenbach! Best way to promote cycling in Switzerland. Pity though, Dillier had to abandon, tomorrow should've been his big day.
Wonder how Pat Lane recovers that well. We didn't even raised the subject of him being in the break again. Great move to confirm his KOM-lead.

Oh well, not much to say about the stage.
Froome will lose some time on the next stage and the second half of the race should be hopefully more aggressive. Fingers crossed

Well well we are only here for TTs but oh boy something along the lines of a top 15 in other stages would do, as opposed to 98th

I guess I can't complain anymore, that makes up for yesterday's disappointment. Now I'm just sad that Dillier can't be in the TT tomorrow

Was never a stage for too much GC action, Costa attacking was a bit of a scare but our hill depth paid off and we didn't lose any time,
Thanks for the report Roturn and congrats Bushwackers!

We've been like a shadow in this stage race. Crossing my fingers for some action on the next stage. Just give us a man in the break plz. |

Costa looks sharp. Tomorrow is a big day for him.
Nice victory from Vastaranta. Feels good to see such an experienced and celebrated MG rider taking an underdog triumph like that.
My team seems clueless about the game plan. Borges relays to drop Antunes in the early stages, only to see Antunes become our best rider at the finish Oliveira looks good though and should be good tomorrow.
Congrats UBS on that valiant victory!

Ubs with some redemption here, good to see that they wont go completly empty handet out of here. Gratz Bushwalkers!
As Gustav said, Costa is looking promising, hope he will take the GC after the TT
+ around a 2 minutes gap on Froome and most should be done!
