If you have transfers all the time you will have to change the db often. I think every 3 rounds.

I'll have to change the db every week anyway, because of the auctions, but every 3 weeks is probably good.
btw: Does anybody know how many threads this game can have? 1 is ok, but another one for results or one for auctions would make it neater. But 1 is still ok? thanks

okay, then that's another question for people playing, would people rather 1 thread in the games section or lots in the story games (which means that if you want to you can make a hq, but that's optional)???

I'd rather not make HQs, but I'd create:
1 thread for the transfers discussion
1 thread for the race reports (not a thread each race, a thread for all)
All of them in the story games forum 
And the transfers should be each 3 rounds

ok, cool, we've got some pretty good agreement, I'll post three forums in the story games once we start, General discussion, Transfers (auctions) and one for race reports and we'll have transfers every 3 weeks.

Once the final 6 spots are filled in or on Saturday (most likely Saturday), I'll close sign-ups and do the teams, I'll then work on the database while the people playing have a week or two (until Friday the 29th or the 6th depending on how long the db takes) to do transfers the, game will start from there with the first race. After that the game can run normally.

I will say the races on the Wednesday before it and you haven't got you squad yet, so I don't understand how you can decide not to do transfers.
