If Bole and Sweeting outsprint guys like Drapac and Farrar on a pan flat stage, some teams will have a hard season...
Also I'm still going well with supporting Bole here

FFS, everything going so well and we throw it all away on a flat stage
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Seeing how well Bole performs here it was a mistake not bringing Geschke here. Especially after Saramotins dropped already..
Now I have to hope that Dupont pulls something big off that i do not expected at all...

The stage has ruined any chance of a GC top 10, Wu going like a roller coaster though, hope he gets me in some breaks as the season goes on. Meenhorst blocked in the sprint just as things looked good, oh well

Just when I thought things were getting better, we again figured out how to mess it up.
On a second note, how do we file appeals!? That was clearly blocking by Iglinsky!

Bloody typical that the only day the break doesn't take it (seemingly all season) is the day we have the last man standing.
On a more serious note still having 3 guys in with a chance of the overall is good news, even if I don't expect any of my cobble hating squad to still be in touch after tomorrow's stage.

Better calm down, it's only February. Imagine the end of the season

Looked like relegation to the new "dirt" league they are making.

Jesus, what the fuck was Drapac up to? Bloody pathetic. Of course, he has two not-so-easy stages behind him, but if that can prevent him from even a Top 10, there are about three races all season where he can score.
Still, very happy with Hamilton and Harrison stepping up to the challenge, stage 2 (and now the cobbles) are exactly the sort of thing Hamilton is there for.

Unexpected 4th by Steven Tronet. Seems he somehow got into slipstream and couldn't brake fast enough. Honestly, haven't seen him sprinting that fast the whole pre season training camp. Great performance by the frenchman.
Graga Bole really starts rollin'. Doesn't look like some cobbles gonna stop him. Hope for a nice battle in the wallonian mounds for the overall.
In-and-Out winning like a boss. Very impressive start in the season.

Well, that was an unexpected Top 10 by Jelloul, nicely done. On the other hand, I'm very unhappy about Vitoria falling back. Not sure if he had any GC chances to begin with, but I would have liked to keep the illusion a little longer ...

Wow, losing time seemed to be very good for us in the end
Happy to get the stage win, more than I expected in this tour and what a nice Screenshot of Takenouchi celebrating the win

A shame that Oba couldn't hang on with Takenouchi or Lebris in the end, but I am happy that he could score us our first point this race. That point probably remains our only point though. |
