Not quite, I realised the first point with Brandle but continued anyway because 1) Technically that was the UCI Pro Tour (which also would exempt Merlo from being an incorrect answer) but mainly 2) in this competition it's equally as good anyway. I will admit I assumed he was an older guy who had just retired because he rode for the hour record though!

It's clobbering time! Ben Grimm/The Thing bashes the oposition into submission scoring 8 points. Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic ties himself in knots in second with 4 points. Captain Ameri.... i mean Johnny Storm/Human Torch crackles in third place with just 1 points. Nothing for dear old Susan Storm/Invisible woman, i guess no-one saw her. Now i'm going to say jandal's answer is incorrect because Spiderman wasn't part of the Fantastic Four he's actually part of the broader Future Foundation.

The truly classic 1978 film, written by the legendary Mario Puzo, starring the only good Superman Christopher Reeve, Superman I reigns over the Earth with 6 points. 2013's re-imagining Man of Steel was second with 3 picks. Two points go to the truly awful 2006 Superman Returns. The as yet unreleased Batman vs Superman gets one point as does Superman II. Unfortunately for The Hobbit, The Dark Night is not a Superman movie.

Patrick Stewart/Prof. X, head of the X-Men, scores two points. His real life BFF Ian McKellan/Magneto gets just one point. Will.i.am/Kestrel pops up with a point. Whilst the sumptuous Jennifer Lawrence/Mystique makes a show from the newer X-Men films with one point as well.
