Bummer to miss out on the medals... Just a bit too hilly I guess. Good ride by SKA.

Nice for Kennett to get a mention and not a bad result!

Silvio continuing his domination of his age group - he’s going to be a monster isn’t he?
On the TTT side, quite happy to see Hacecky do well for the Czechs
Thanks for all the effort on the reporting side guys, particularly Aquarius

I'd expect Mohoric to get back at him in the road race. But thanks for now!

Can we have a replay without Aquarius as reporter? I thought he could repress his clear anti-Jams urges if he wasn't racing for Xero but apparently he can't.
Not an unexpected result, congrats to Herklotz on a storming ride! Shame for Mohoric Also for Kapsa and Per (and Jams ofc) who could have done something.
Awesome from Veyhe to finish in the first main group

How does Veyhe even make these performances? It's amazing!
Kinda crash marred though, Kaspa must've had a -5 day, while Pedersen and Kanepejs went down for us. They would've of done heaps, but still a shame and terrible to see Per and Novardianto down too.
Also, Padun as our loan-in got 15th, so after a whole season doing nothing, now he has a big race and one-ups our hero Veyhe Good luck with him fjhoekie.
---
I seriously feel like Herklotz and Kudus have been winning U23 races for ages though, I mean only 3 of the top 10 were level 2 (Mamykin, Lopez & Mckenna) and 3 of the first 16 were level 1 (Eiking one more level 2) (Oomen, Padun & Veyhe). Herklotz, Mohoric and Kudus are fighting at the top level already, can we finally make this a thing for level 1s and 2s and get some excitement rather than the same domination?

Next year U23 races should be better, the riders that started out too young will be all gone by then. Happy with a 6th for Moscon and a 12th for Oomen, only Gaviria disappointed a bit.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

A lot of them will be gone which is good, but Kemboi will still be round with 77sp/78 acc and Ranaweera, Oomen and Padun will all have 75/76 Mo, where only a few level 3 riders can beat them (and Padun will be back level 4 in 2019). It's not huge, but still blocks out developing talents from a little share of the limelight.

One last time, sorry guys
What incredible footsteps to follow in, and what a way to end his unmaxed time in. Surely Herklotz didn't feel the pressure he'll be under from next year on yet, and expectations rose even further now.
I'm certainly looking forward to the future and will gladly leave this level of racing to the more unpolished riders from now on. I hope all your favorite talents will still get their chance to shine!

Ewan 5th on a hilly course, to go with his 3rd on the cobbles course. Just makes me more excited to see how he goes now max'd out

But are lvl 3's really a problem? Oomen for example will only have 1 year left, so he should get a chance to shine. Gaviria didn't have that chance because he always had to face riders like Zabel and Ewan.
I think we're going to a better situation next year where lvl 1 riders will have their first appearance at age 22 and a chance to shine at age 23, then move on. This year were the last flukes imo.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Good result for Padun here Will be fun to see him compete for the Avenir and maybe U23 WC wins the coming 2 seasons, and he indeed will be level 4 in 2019. Likely one of very few riders to reach that level in the U23s from now on.

Congrats to Herklotz and cio here. Herklotz might not win a Grand Tour this upcoming season, but he will podium one for sure, and next season and 8-9 seasons to go, he will win atleast 1 pr. season (depending on how the RD system will work).
Maybe in the future we shouldn't allow level 4 riders to ride, but then again. Who will be eligeble agewise and still be level 4 in, let's say, 2 years time?
