Cannot help but be pleased for tsmoha and his Oz cycling mob - that was a really typical type T-A semi fav type attack. He has ridden this race before under Red Bull colours and no doubt my managerial input had a massive effect on him.
Nice pleased with M and M - Cav crashing is not ideal, though if not injured no biggie. Hagen negates the chrono with those seconds also is interesting sub plot.

I always thought Bobridge would have a breakthrough season this year much ala Ponzi but to a smaller extent, but boy is this win impressive! Congrats tsmoha, great report danny!

Trofimov way out in front as favorite imo on this course. Surprised to see such top sprinters here, hard to see how they can gather worthwhile PPRD vs. other opportunities throughout the season? Hope for aggressive racing - stages 4, 5 and 6 all look to have great potential for excitement.
In Ciolek's case, after assigning his must-attend races, he had enough RD left for some stage races, but not for a GT, so there wasn't a more profitable way to spend them.
Thanks for feedback mate - I've obviously not had the pleasure of PT race planning (yet!), but still surprises me that other better options are not possible.
Few surprises for me in the prologue - Izagairre and Clarke overperforming in strong positions for a start (although Izagairre then let himself down in following stage.
Not so much surprises in stage 2, but in the lower reaches, riders like Golas and Abreau did stonking well for relatively low level rated hill riders given many hyped puncheurs finished considerably behind them.
Interesting racing at any rate!

Loosing almost 4 minutes in last hill? I hope this awful result means we´re gonna see very agressive Izagirre in upcoming hilly stages!

Aha, I knew Kwiatek could deliver on PT level - he always seems to defy his stats. A great ride, which sets him up for a high GC placing and a good points haul here. I really think he could keep us up by providing points in races without Ponzi.
Good to see Kebede up there as well, hopefully we are in for a good race here after a quiet start to our debut PT season. |

The Oz show continues ... congrats tsmoha!
Skujins decent on this stage. Considering his horrible prologue i would have prefered an attack from him but nothing lost yet..
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Another great win for tsmoha, congrats! Surprisingly huge gaps. As expected, none of our riders made the first splits, but decent enough. Hope they can get in a break later on if there's a decent opportunity.

Awesome to see an amazing start for tsmoha and Oz, freshly trained Bobridge with a nice daring attack

Double Oz win, congrats!
Decent prologue for us, but stage 2 was pretty disappointing. Monfort drops ridiculously early and finishes 5 minutes behind the winner together with Koren who has fallen.
Only Kangert did an ok job; hope he can keep it up.

What a tasty start for OZ, bouncing greatly back from that weak season opener, gz tshoma!
EBH looks pretty strong aswell, he will get tough to match on the harder stages.

Congrats tsmoha.
Claeys in the front group and Serry around 30th is solid for us and hopefully Claeys can just remain consistent like that.

Promising stage from EBH. A stage win would obviously have been nice, but happy to see Bobridge and tsmoha run away with it, congrats!
Froomedog must be happy as well, clever little attack from Kwiatkowski. Hopefully EBH being strongest of the rest is a hint of what is to come on the tougher hilly stages.
Thank you for the report, sgdanny. The pace of the game in general, all three divisions, is amazing so far this season |

Awesome to see Bobridge ride away and win like that, De Bie would be kicking himself that he dropped back. Congrats tsmoha!

Abreu finishes as our best rider in 16th (doesn't make any sense at all...) and Maksimov starts his hell tour with a crash. Brilliant. Just brilliant PCM.

Great job from Ignatiev to hold in the first bigger group and thus jumping to 3rd in GC. That is the reason why he was sent here, shame that two guys escaped the group. But very well deserved win for Bobridge, Jaycoz are on the fire here in Italy.
In next stages i hope for agressive racing from Ignatiev and Tanovitchii, as hard hills are not their most favourite terrain where they could climb with the best.
Thanks for the report sgdanny! Few more shots from other angles then front shot would be lovely though.

Nice start by Machado. Perhaps he could do something of relevance here.
Bobridge, the legend, congrats!

Being in 5th already is great news, a pleasing start. Nice to see tsmoha doing well too. Thanks danny for all these reports.

Looks like Van Poppel just isn't strong enough. Had quite a good position today but still failed to deliver a decent result.
Good to see Boswell staying out of trouble and we finally have some action with Sinkeldam grabbing the KoM jersey. Make he can take a shot at that classification
Also, I'm pretty sure I had a rider in the original breakaway.
