7th and no train means that the sprints will be pot luck for Vantomme, today he got in a good spot in Zabel's wheel but their train wasn't good enough.
Thanks for the report Roturn and congrats atlantius.

Congrats to Atlantius. As the other results show, those super short flat races are always unpredictable.

Acceptable start here, at least a lot better than last year. Appollonio was a little late finding suitable wheel in the final, but it stays a promising start.
Thanks for the report roturn, was a tense finish. And gratz to Lo Cicero!

Went in with no expectations, got nothing from the race, so no loss either. One less race now before the cobbles start.

Couldn't expect anything and didn't get anything notable. Thanks for the report!

I was convinced we weren't in it until I saw the results and remembered Vanoverschelde is with us now and we ride in green, not in blue.
Great result though, certainly not to be expected in that field, also surprised to see Ulanowski actually living up to all the hype FJ tends to give him.

Ulanowski!
Great lead-out if you end up being second, almost winning even. Vanderbiest very decent, a top 5 was what I'd been expecting more or less from him anyways. Quite worrying my train was so far back, but did not influence the result here.
Vanoverschelde finally does something decent as well, I am really rather annoyed

Valiiiioooooooo
Now this is a winner i like to see. Awesome. Congrats Atlantius
Great to see that Neilands learns winning spirit from the very first day of racing.
Ulanowski and Kobe are a super surprising podium duo.
Didnt expect that. At. All.
I'm a bit disappointed that none of my rouleurs tried an attack which i was really looking forward to.
Great team depth from my lads here finishing 15-16-21-26-32-40-47-48 makes up for the lack of attacks from my team though. Roundabout 30 points is an okayish start and earning the PT rankings lead (for a few hours ) as best PT team in the race is a nice bonus I happily take |

I just realised we just scored over 10% of our 2015 points total in this single race. That's quite amazing

4th and 11th, great result. Zabel did well and the train was awesome, to bad he didn't reach the first place, but better than feared. Great start to the season

Lo Cicero wins as the favourite on this easy course though it seems like the flat stat played a small role seeing Van der Sande 6th.Avelino disappointing though.Great race for Nemiroff with 2nd and 5th as well.
Congrats to Atlantius for the win and fjhoekie for getting many points!
Thanks for the report roturn. |

My two sprinters didnt even sprint, and I only got them for the HC races. We definately need to look at this next season for it to make sense for PT teams to bother søgning riders for the HC sprints.
Atleast Gougeard tried.

After having been on the grimmest task of my working career as a vet this was great to come home to!
While we wasn't that visible throughout the day (probably due to PCM having other riders as top favourites) that final sprint made up for it all
Thanks for the report and thanks to Lo Cicero for proving our faith in him just.
And thanks for all the congratulations as well!

Interesting to see Zabel, as the 6th best sprinter in field or so, got his (almost) perfect train. Now I´m worrying how sprints will work in PT races...
Nice report, congratulation to Atlantius.

Vanoverschelde finally proving why he went for a million in 2014, fjhoekie? Kind of a pity his result here wasn't for your team. Would have been deserved after all that uselessness. Though, with second and fifth, there's no doubt you did great here. Flying start!
Big congratulations, Atlantius! Cool to see the Finns start off in the best possible way, even with some help from Italy.
And thank you for a nice report, roturn. Liked the big focus on the sprint with lots of pictures from it, showing the trains and how it unfolded very well. |
