Finally a great stage. Already wanted to give up after I saw him losing contact to his train. But then suddenly he got his pace again sprinting into top5.
Very good result for Groenewegen and with Schädlich and Dumoulin being very attentive in the first rows behind the sprinters, it`s looking like a possible good race. Impey with more bonus seconds not ideal but at least the other sprinters seem to share the seconds quite well.
Also Vandewalle and Frison still in the range of some GC small pointers. |

Another good result. Finally the sprint train is clicking, just in time too, was starting to get worried that the Tour of America would be a great big screw up for the Van partnership.
Great race for South Africans so far!

AMEX-Navigon jerseys cannot even be seen in the mass finish. This is a terrible effort except for Luke Keough's breakaway ride in stage one. He is still in the top 10 in the GC and 2nd Young Rider.
Awful performance by Nizzolo.

Stage win and the race lead. Brilliant from Impey. This stage really suited him, so glad he used that slope to the line to his advantage to overhaul Ahlstrand.
Got to hope he uses the jersey bonus to keep it for the TT and go from there. Things looking good for us here though at the moment. |

Stage wise this was ridicoulous bad. All my 3 sprinters not in top100.
Schädlich 11th though...yeah..
But with only a time trial left all my time trialists without a time loss. So please Schädlich to podium or at least top5 and Dumoulin with some luck into top10 or at least top15.
No idea where to land with 76 and 75 time trialists. Probably outside top30. |

That was insane 
Shame that his unexpected huge gap to the time-trialists will probably count for nothing in the TT, due to the length. With his decent TT stat though I can still hope for a decent result from him.
Now for Bookwalter/Bodnar to try and get in the top 5/10. Whatever happens we should get a nice points boost from this race now. |

Shit, really glad that Phan Age Haugard atleast was in the first group... oh and Freddy Johansson aswell.
Too bad Wetterhall and Stenersen (both 75 TT) lost time... |

Pretty much the best we could get from this race. It's only second KOM-jersey win in Vontobels history. First we crest the Dutch mountains at 2014th Olympia Tour and now the feared rolling hills of Denmark.
In addition our two best TTlers survived the split. Guess we've to sort this race in the better-than-expected-box.

The only positive of this tour is that Stannard has lost no time, really need a good result from him as everyone else has been really poor

Bonnet looking like he is in good form now managing to finish 4th there in the sprint.
He is also a good TT rider so I hope he can get a solid GC position to bring in some much needed points.
