I knew this was going to be an anonymous race for us, but I didn't expect to be such a crappy race. Seriously this had all the ingredients to be one of the best races in the CT calendar but the AI just didn't match the expectations once more...
Anyway with all the big decisions being postponed to the TT I can hope for a reasonable result from Nicácio. Although I suspect that may be too big a dream.

Clearly races just need more than one mountain and over 100km to be selective, which is disappointing but fair enough I guess.

Annoying that with all the favourites attacking on the climb and the peloton flying that there was such a big group coming into the finish. I guess it all comes down to the tt.

Well done PCM12. Well done...
This.
It seems that you need at least three mountains or Zoncolan-like finish to create some gaps in mountains. Unfortunately this turned out to similar style to Trentino stages.
4th for Popovych is nice, but as one of the most aggresive riders of the stage he was awarded nothing and in the end sub-par climbers were awarded same time as him. Oh gosh
How can shite climbers survive the multiple attacks by 80+ climbers is beyond me. This year Cyanide will take it to consideration and we will have opposite extreme, wait for it.
Top10 is doable, but interest is long gone. This should be epic, not lame

Dekker with a really awesome ride here. So the top favourite at least takes the win.
ING with nice points as well with two riders.
AI wise the announced PCM13 changes seem to be soooo important to get rid of those randomness. |

That was a great report mre. It was clearly going to be the most decisive stage of the race following the first two AI retarded mountain climbs. I thought the chrono reporting and virtual GC's were really nice touches - far better than what we got in the real life Giro (not SN's Giro) too
Dekker is the big winner here of course and hard to argue with a dominant TT win.

Thanks I put my math skills to test for this report. Glad it paid off.

Great deepish report, but to be honest i would like rather see Popovych on at least a single shot, rather than Dekker and Castano on 10 pictures each. Same with some other top10 riders, we only saw few of them
10th in GC for Popo is good given the circumstances and pressure from his compatriots Krasnoperov and Ratiy, but overall it is big disappointment, as it is second race in the row screwed for Popo by AI.
Congrats to Vueling, at least the winner is much deserved.

After two dissapointing mountain stages we get a great MTT Really happy about these results, around what I expected with the team I sent, Keizer scoring good points and Ratiy securing a nice extra haul by his 11th (and 3rd in youth)
Deserved win for Dekker

Vueling certainly beginning to perform at the level they were expected to pre-season. Congrats
Interesting race to follow, shame the AI didn't live up to the fullest potential, but good reporting nonetheless, Mre!

Excellent race, to get third and fifth was much more than we could had hoped for! Marchante is clearly not among the very-best, but he is not far off either. He still has a lot of race days left, so I'll need him to perform if we are going to even dream about promotion now... after a rather mixed season so far.
Congrats to Crue, Dekker is a beast!

Now that is more like it. Great stage. Just a pity it didn't work like that the whole race. Congratulations to CT great result for them. Also ING scoring a lot of points here.
Too bad Nicácio couldn't reach at least a top20. But in this setting I couldn't have asked for much more than 21st. However this is a reasonable blow for our America Tour aspirations.

I was really, really worried after reading the 1st report. Was happy about winning the 2nd stage, but with no time gaps I still didn't feel too confident.
But awesome TT display by Dekker and, luckily, the top favourite pulls off another win
Great reports too, Mre. |
