The team was created back in 2011, where the famous football team F.C Internazionale together with tyre company Pirelli provided the funds for Rycadinho to create a good team for the continental tour. After a decent first season, ending as 20 in the standings, lead by profiles as Jos Serpa, Alberto Loddo and Ryder Hesjedal did Inter decide to pull out their sponsorship for the next season. Car company Alfa Romeo, owned by Fiat, decided to fill the gap and suddenly was the team sponsored only by Italian companies. This won't affect Rycadinhos friendly minded view on foreigner riders, though a strong Italian base is a must. The Italian sponsors left in 2012 but the powerfull dutch company ING has taken up the mantle and will provide Rycadinho enough money plus freedom to take the team further up than the 12th place in season 2012. After a breathtaking 2013 season, did the now rebranded ING team almost win the division but most importantly then they managed to promote thanks to the likes of Gomez Marchante, Nicolas Roche and captain America himself - David Zabriskie.
The team is now aiming for survival in the elite of cycling, while still evolving into a stronger and stronger team, therefore ING's own motto: Run for something better...
Sponsors 2014-2015:
ING
Nike

Pro Tour 2014, here we come!
After a stunning season, where we just according to the plan back in 2011, managed to promote after 3 years, then it's time to change for the better. First of all will ING keep sponsoring the team, as our main sponsor, while Nike will yet again provide us with our kit-design. Other news includes that Giant, Shimano and Giro will provide the team-equipment for this season and onwards, so we'll not need to change anything at all for at least the next two years.
ING were satisfied with how the year unfolded and have therefore given us a lot of assurances that we'll be able to close the cap to our nearest rivals, to have a chance in staying out of relegation in the PT. It won't be easy, but thanks to a lot of newfound capspace, together with some riders who will either take a paycut or leave the team for free, then we have every chance to have a great transfer season.
First of all then every rider in the team, besides Aru, Kip, Van Winden, Roche and Zabriskie, possible to enquire during the upcoming window. Our team need new fresh talent, but of course with the necessary experience - which the latter two brings. Roche has been a star performer for two seasons now, and his unique versatility will be important while Zabriskie earned his right to stay after being our best rider, by a fine margin, in our road to glory last season.
Unlike many other teams, then we'll keep our cards close, but we are looking forward to see which of our targets will join our newly promoted team .
We have finally also struck a deal with well known artist Bikex, who has designed this years outfit for the team. He is currently working on the team equipment, aswell as a new national suit for Zabriskie but enough talk - here is this years masterpierce, that will hopefully be seen infront of the peleton a lot in the upcoming season:
The shirt is still faithfull to ING's traditional colours, but still taking a rather unique look thanks to Bikex beautiful creation

Captain America returns for 2014
David Zabriskie was the standout performer in ING - Pro Cycling Teams successful 2013 campaign. He ended the season on a high with yet another national championship, in what he does best - timetrialing and thankfully has our new equipment artist, Bikex, delivered yet another stunning creation for Mr. America himself, Dave Z:
Despite not getting any younger, then Zabriskie remains a integral part of the team
As it was announced earlier, then we'll use equipment from Shimano, Giro and Giant and Bikex has once again designed our gear:
There can't be any doubt that ING - Pro Cycling Team will look amazing, and hopefully will be also deliver results that are at the level of Bikex' creations.

Love the Captain America theme.
Good luck in the transfer season. I think your team is certainly more adapted than some of the other promoters.

So do I, and I'm very happy that Bikex could come up with such a nice design after ANFreeman unfortunately isn't around anymore.
I surely hope so, we'll defiantly need to strengthen the team, but I have a clear vision on how and where we'll need to do so and I'm confident that the team will stand a chance when the transfer season is over!
Can't wait to compete yet again against your team, though I doubt we'll do it in cobblestone races

ING ready for transfer season without two Stars
Carlos castano and gomez marchante Will both enter free agency after ING decided not to prolonge their stay in the team.
Castano is a bit of a legend after bringing lots of strong performances, especially during the 2012 season, as a pirelli-alfa romeo rider. He has passed his prime but we are sure that he Can still be a factor in the sport, just as the case with marchante. The latter had a tough mission to fill the gap that VDB left, but he did so with style and gave us a lot of great memories.
Everyone Else has committed Them to ING for the upcoming season though much Can happen during the transfer season.

ING - Pro Cycling Team: 2014 Team Presentation - Part I
It's been a very busy week, with lots of ups and downs. We have managed to pull out some intriguing moves, while also saying goodbye to a rider we didn't expect to part ways with. It's necessary to understand that ING wants the team to set the pace in terms of certain areas and when we received words that they wanted a team based by a top elite rider, then it was clear that we had to make certain sacrifices. Some may be surprised that we decided to part ways with Nicolas Roche, though it was clear that we had to sacrifice him to strengthen other departments.
Captains:
He was perhaps the most wanted rider in the free agency market and though we had to spend a lot of our salary cap on him, then'll Romain Sicard without any doubt be a huge asset for the team in the years to come. He has truly everything to be the next French Tour de France winner, though this year will be just as much a learning process due to his young age. Romain will have a team that is completely built towards his abilities and he has already expressed his excitement in working together with our personal and sponsors, not to mention the other riders of course.
The only question about Sicards enormous potential is if he can already battle for the TDF win in 2014
We missed him out last year due to landing Zabriskie, but Jacob Fiedler will this year be our star in the timetrial department. He has shown some very strong numbers, equal to Zabriskie last year and we are sure that he'll provide some valuable points for the team during the years to come.
Fiedler is one of the elite timetrialers, and we expect him to be that for the years to come

ING - Pro Cycling Team: 2014 Team Presentation - Part II
The second part of the presentation of ING - Pro Cycling Team 2014, and its riders, will focus on the supporting cast to Sicard and Fiedler, our two biggest asset for the coming season.
Lieutenants:
We were surprised to land him, but Pierre Rolland will be one heck of a rider for Romain due to his experience with Festina and that he can both timetrial and climb well.
Pierre will not only be Sicards lietenant but also a rider that is capable of delivering great results himself
David Zabriskie is nearing his careers final chapter and though this will probably be his final season with ING, then we are confortable that his great experience will come in handy as we look to make a good impression in the protour.
Captain America will finish a short, but fantastic time with ING where he belongs - among the absolutely best
Finally will Dennis van Winden look to improve after seeing Zabriskie taking most of the glory during last season.
As one of the best timetrialers in the world, and in dutch cycling will van Winden look to show himself in the biggest races of the year
We have mainly focused on creating a team that can support Romain in his quest for glory and to be the top-timetrialing roster in the protour. Therefore it's a pleasure to announce that Stef Clement, Ramunas Narvadauskas and Maxime Bouet has all joined the team. They'll all be massive assets for the seasons to come, and we are very happy that they have joined us.
The sprinters:
Ismael Kip with the help of, Jonathan Thire, Assan Bazajev and Daniele di Nucci will try to challenge some of the worlds fastest men in the masssprints. We believe that Kip can be one of the surprises of this season since he many times last year managed to perform against elite sprinters.
The climbers:
One of our few riders from the founding of what was then Internazionale-Pirelli and now ING - Pro Cycling Team is turning out to be a hidden gem. Fabio Aru has shown great numbers so far in the off season and he'll have the chance to lead team in this years Giro d'Italia. Diez Corrales, Hubert Dupont, Fredy Montaña , Murguito, and Win Van Huffel will all stay with us thanks to their experience. Andres Saldarriaga will be one of Romains strongest helpers in the mountains that awaits the peleton this year, and we believe he can also take a stage win or two if luck is with us.
With the acquisition of Sicard is it clear that ING - Pro Cycling Team has decided to look for the future, and while we accept that many pundits may see us as one of the strongest relegation candidates, then we won't go down without one hell of a fight. We are in a transition and the future is looking very bright for us, no matter the outcome of this year.
That's it for now.

Very nice team, to get both Sicard and Fielder off the free agency is quite an achievement

Thanks mate, it was quite a surprise to land both of them - especially since they were my two top targets to begin with. Even though it was hard to let Roche go, then it quickly became damage limitation due to the massive wage Sicard went for, and I think it was the right decision to strengthen the teams depth in Timetrialing, which is a discipline I'm a huge fan of.

Fiedler ready to take the crown as the best against the clock
Jacob Fiedler will be one of ING's most important riders for the years to come and thanks to his brilliant abillities in timetrialing then was it of course important to give him a unique look, since he is also the defending german champion.
Bikex has done the work once again and we can't wait to unleash our German star against the likes of Coppel, Cancellara etc.

I hope to give you a nice fight in the next German Nationals with Schädlich.
You still are the favourite but well, you never know.
Same obviously counts for Keizer vs. Van Winden.

Yeah It'll be a great spectacle, though I'm confident that with Fiedlers training then he should hold the edge!

My thoughts exactly after seeing his training.
But I trained Schädlich as well.
With that training you might have a monopol on the German TT championship for the next few years I guess.
I have more necessary training the next seasons. (and less money in PCT I guess) |

I hope that none of us will relegate though that'll be hard to avoid.. my TTT + Sicard gamble really cant falter much or I'm destined to rebuild in the PCT next year.

It`s TTT (weaker than yours) only for me with good balance everywhere. But 79 as best non TT stat won`t be enough I think.
You gamblin on Sicard in the end could closely move you ahead of the relegation line. If so, you have good chances next season to build around Sicard. |

I surely hope so, but then again - time will tell. I hope that he won't be too much behind in the mountains, compared to the very best in this area..
