For the new managers, take a look at SotD and see were you should be in 5 years/seasons time:
Team: Team I-Gen - Festina
In: 4.400.000 + Maxime Bouet and Kristijan Durasek
Out: 326,000 + Riccardo Ricco, Yoann Paillot, Laurent Pichon and Martin Hacecký
Really liking your Transfer Season sofar SotD, taking the renewal fine was a good choice in the end, I already fear Spilak after his training , you sold the riders you could do without and you are finally under the maximum wage cap now right? You're my favourite to win the ProTour again this year!
I myself am doing ok, main objective was to sign the 3 biggest talents of Russia so I'm happy with that. Also was able to help some CT teams to get decent riders in, now it's all about the FA Market I quess.
Everybody having a good time!?!?

Transfer season is going great for me so far, although today and tomorrow will be crucial in terms of signing team leaders.
Inactive due to personal reasons.

The thing about transfers is about finding positives when your plans doesn't pan out and so far I'm happy with the looks of stuff, though it didn't look too good after Day 1.

Actually I thought I'd have to lessen the Argentinië focus bit I might just get by with even more riders from Argentina! |

I'm under my wage cap now yes, and have a bit to spare to get a FA or some stagiares, also I have 175K left in loan cap, so could get 3/4 loanies to supplement.
I'll definately struggle to repeat the win I think. I was even very lucky last season. Ricco out hurts a lot. The three others are OK as they weren't high scorers last season, so Koretzky and Lecuisinier could probably level that out.
In terms of training I'm unsure what to do. I might buy/trade my way into a rider that I feel is nice to train, but otherwise it might be Jerome Coppel that is made into 85TT instead - Haven't decided
I was looking at your team yesterday and saw you as a good bet for the PT win - I definately expect you to end up higher than me. My goal is top 5, and I think that should be possible, but there are some strong teams.

I'd call myself 65% happy with this transfer season. I got outbid on a number of top puncheurs (De Bie mainly), so I had to change plans to bring Claeys in. That did not come cheap, however, so it ruined what I was initially going to do with my money (training). That led to having to sell Cornu just to be able to do any training at all. I wasn't so happy about that, but he probably wasn't going to do too much in PT anyway.
Other than that Romain Bardet in for under 100,000 was a decent bit of business, so I'm happy with that, and Kruijswijk should make a solid super domestique. I don't feel that I overbid on either of them.

2 of my 3 main transfer targets secure. Good rid of most of my riders who didn't perform up to standard last year. Signed some handy domestiques. Pretty safe to say im happy with transfers so far.

Ranaweera and Sembukutti are confirmed. Which means that in a few seasons I should have just from Sri Lanka:
78 MO, 73 HIL, 70 TT
76 MO, 70 HIL
75 HIL, 70 MO
75 HIL
76 TT
77 COB, 70 SP
75 COB, 71 SP
79SP
76 SP, 71 COB
76 SP, 70 COB
Which makes a nice cheap young core, for any division! |
