One day we'll put someone in the break . Although Uran staying out of to much trouble is already good enough for me.
Tinkoff with the great breakaway run.

The Tinkoff boys are too good for breakaways
And the points they're taking from it in this race means we'll probably struggle to go past them in the overall rankings.
Great to see Breen up there though, the perfect guy from our team for such a stage. 7th is good from him, hopefully we'll pick the right in the breakaway lottery next time.
Congratulations on another stage win, OlegTinkov!
And just one more flat stage to survive for the GC contenders before they should be allowed to shine again. really looking forward to see the battle between those behind Pluchkin continue. |

For my team, second week of racing was even worse than first one. Now I need to Faiers showed some kind of magic once more to save Le Tour for me.
Pluchkin really dominating here, congrats Avin.

Thanks everybody, even winning flat stages now is almost too much, eager now to see if our leader can get into the top-10!

I had horrible fears that Guarnieri was going to be blocked out of that one, but 3rd seems to be about as good as he's going to be getting from here on out. Unless he follows Bewley's wheel to another 2nd.
Great/amazing comeback by Sam. What a rider.

We're only joining the breaks in those hopeless flat stages
Nice to see someone beating Bewley/Swift! Maybe the wrong team though..

Well, not the greatest couple of stages for Bewley, but that comeback for the 2nd place behind Van Stayen was so impressive. Really important points for the green jersey competition, but we unfortunetely really need some good luck with breakaways to still have a chance in Paris against Pluchkin. Congrats to both Tinkoff and Venchi, great wins for them!

Great to get a 2nd place there, finally a decent result for Kinoshita who has been on the attack all race!
And wow, 11th for Lo Cicero

Zabel once again up there, just not strong enough. Deserved win, even though I got my hopes up when he was following and everyone else seemed blocked.
I really like how Zabel is racing, he's consistent and always in the contention. Just a bit of sprint training and I got some really big hopes for me. To be honest I feel he deserves a stage win this season, but he just need a bit more luck to get it

That's solid from Kristoff again. He'll need to use the winter well if he's going to do better than fourth-sixth place in sprints with most of the top guys present. No idea if it will be possible though
A monster sprint from Bewley again, but Van Stayen grabbed the chance when the Kiwi's positioning was too bad going into the sprint.
Still, Pluchkin "only" needs to stage wins to be right up there with Bewley in the points competition, and the way he has been bossing the tough stages so far, the Moldovan looks like the likely winner there.
Thanks for the report, SN! |

Another two flat stages survived, even one top 10 from Aleksandr there to grab some points. Good that he took it easy in last stage, he will need all the energy in the next five tough and decisive stages including the TT. He dropped to 3rd in points competition, but now has the open doors given the character of last week stages. So fingers crossed for consistent top5 riding and not many breaks surviving. Bring it on!
Great win for Tinkoff in 14th stage, congrats Oleg, you team is rocking it in GT stages without real leaders, good job.
Great comeback from Bewley in 15th stage, but Van Beasten was too far away to be reached. Congrats Sykkel Freak, if you are following the race at all.
Thanks for great reports SN, looking forward to the Touir finale!

Well, there are many ways of looking at this race from our perspective. And the most positive is that my wage bill is going down. Vanderbiest is actually sprinting worse with the nationality bonus? |

I am not sure if there is still something like nationality bonus, i dont remember any special overperformances coming from the nationality this year. But that is hard to judge...

Yeah, pretty sure they took the nationality bonus out of PCM. I'm kind of disappointed they removed it though.

Well, that's disappointing. I guess I have to be a lot happier with my team's performance now, shame I've already booked a post Tour trip to Outer Mongolia for them |
