Big congratulations, roturn! Really a brilliant win by Oliver, timing his attack to perfection and never seen again.
Also very happy to see both Galta and Hoelgaard up there in the decisive moments, and a 6th place from our captain is good. 16th from Hoelgaard is a pleasant bonus.
The winner once again proves that this course/AI is open for a minor surprise or two, as once again it's not a top favourite running away with the title. Certainly exciting thinking of the Elite race.
Thank you for the report, trekbmc!
In the Elite race the teams are much stronger though. It was clearly only the germans who had a bit of a team, and they didn't have a leader capable of winning the race. Slovenia, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain and several others have top top riders being domestique riders. I suspect a breakaway from a subtop guy will be extremely difficult to pull through. One of the 83-84 could do it though.

Ecuador 11th and Rwanda 12th is interesting for the future. I thought Morton maybe would take this, but not tactically ideal by him this time around.
Congrats Roturn and thanks for a great report! |

Terrific ride by Olivier there
Congrats roturn. I feel that we'll see an actually pretty decent AI in the Elites then. Last time for you to prove your worth, PCM 14, before we remember how filled of bugs you are after the NCs are raced.
Thanks for the report trek.

I guess there's nothing left for me to do than to buy Olivier now.

He should come to Festina and become a GT leader.

I would dislike you both but this isn`t the right using of the button I guess.
No chance that Olivier will ever leave. Due to my PT year 2014 he also is one of those, that never had to be loaned away to max out.
2014
Avenir podium
2015
Avenir top5
U23 ITT top10
U23 RR Win
5th Vuelta al Tachira
6th Tour de Romandie
Stage win in Czech Republic
1x U25 and KoM Jersey
So the step from 2014 to 2015 was pretty huge even though dropping in Avenir. In 2016 he is maxed. So we`ll see, what he is capable of. |

A fantastic win by Olivier, but Germany's depth is also terrific with three guys in the Top10.
I'm kinda glad it didn't turn out as just a battle between Morton and Lecuisinier.

It kinda looked like Morton and Lecuisnier payed too much attention to each other and when Morton finally broke away from Lecuisnier he left it too late to catch Olivier.
Kung with a top 15 is a good result, he had an outside chance at a top 10 but getting the top 15 is still a good result and gives me hope he'll have a good season in CT when maxed next year.

Big congrats Roturn, your team is real U23 road race specialists.
Olivier is a great rider, i would even say a usual overperformer now in his career, so i hope yyou will continue building your team around him, with such a nice palmares already.
B Worlds and now U23 road races with a little surprise results, is someone like Alarcon, Velits or Henao going for the senior title? Cant wait to find out.

Yeah.
Did not have the time to post anything useful over the past few days, but a couple of interesting world champions have been crowned here!
Also a couple of riders have done quite a bit worse, mainly this guy:

FFS, fucking Schleck taking away epic WC winner from us
Madrazo did alright, but again it's shame Spain had to work for a leader that just could not win..

Congrats on the win SN! Well deserved after missing the PT win in such a dissapointing way.
Spilak completes our WC medals haul. We didn't have any big interest in the B Worlds, but we managed to get a medal in ALL other races. That must surely be a new record? Amazing performance from my guys. Also several other top 10s with Ricco making 8th here also great.
Thanks for a very nice report.

Meh, Sella would've been great! So close for an epic WC for italy!
No surprise Andy delivering though.. Probably a deserving WC-winner too, gratz SN!
Madrazo cant get better than 3rd saving himself all day hiding behind his superior team.. Poor really. I guess Moldovas depth definetely showed here, costs more energy to be alone ''all day'. Alexander cant win everything luckily

Good showing by Venezuela. *writes down Monsalve once again into transfer targets* |

Great report roturn, really enjoyed reading that one!
Exciting to see all the best climbers go head-to-head after having been deprived of that all season. I guess winning the WC is a suitable consolation prize for missing out on the PT title by such a close margin
