Wit no riders in the top 50, I feel confident we can only do better from here |

Looks like none of our riders had a particularly good day, but the gaps here are meaningless in the long run anyway.

The next time that i'm in need of a good random generator, I will buy PCM18 and race a prologue.
I'd suspect daily form, many corners levelling out the field even more, and the good old PCM AI problem in TTs that sees riders run out of energy and slowing down to ~15km/h below average somewhere in the last km of TTs.
The final result then basically depends on who got the best dice rolls, especially when there's so little time for natural separation.

Dennis did, what he came for. Nice! That's at least something good after our Pais Vasco disaster. Now if Howard can show the same level of form, we may end up with a good bounce back. The GC win should be out of reach anyway. Phinney already proving his role as the top favorite.

Oh no.....brace for impact guys!
Good to see Sütterlin well protected and positioned there, we definitely need more of the same on stage 4. Would've been interesting to see the sprint result had he been protected by someone like Hadi or Cavagna instead of Stüssi, who still came in 22nd.
Now onto the decisive TT! I hope Sütterlin and some other of our guys will have good legs, especially the U25 looks weak enough for Cavagna and Ganna to take points from.

Solid result for Howard, who looked good to be on track for a podium for a while. Will take that 4th though, as it could have been much worse, as Coquard once again proves (this must have been a puncture though, I guess).
Hopefully our few TT guys will overperform in the time trial then. Only outsider's chances for a Top-10, but maybe Dennis benefits from his Mo/Hi stats and from his high GC position.

Got through that stage in a good way. It continues being a good race for the Aussies, but fingers crossed Phinney can take the yellow tomorrow.

Of course in a race where there is a TT so sprinters don't fight for the GC Guerao is good again ..
Congrats TMM on the win.
Now I already have quite a few second places hope the first win is not far away. |

Paillot once more not showing his TT potential. Therefore Frison with an excellent day while Dumoulin was sup par.
Vesely not well placed in the sprint but 10th in the end, which is the absolute minimum for him really. Should try to improve in the other flat stage. Should do better in his home race. |

That's one way to get coverage, I guess At least it shows we want to be part of the breakaway fun, hopefully we can manage on stage 4 as well, where the breakaway might be given slightly more freedom seeing the lumpier profile. |

That really couldn't have gone any better! Great to have our first win for Phinney, and also a really good performance from Wurtz. Just hoping for an easy final stage now, as this would be a massive, massive result for us after the last ranking update.. Thanks for the report, Kent!

Paillot with a result according to his stats sitting in a late top10 now which is fine. Not a lot from the 77-78 backup riders here, but this can`t be expected in such field.
Qutie a packed field in general, so those 77-80 TT area is spread huge here. |

Two riders in the top 10 looks pretty good even though they are at the very bottom of it.
Hopefully Van Poppel can put it another good sprint in the last stage as well.

Oh come on what is this. So fed up with the game again.
The TT should have really suited Brändle with the small hills and Leung not even in top50 with TT78. |

I'll happily take this GC podium from Zmorka despite stage results not being that great. Just the minor detail that this was a Win Goal, but okay.
Depth with Gonzalez Salas was atrocious. Must have had a terrible day to finish outside Top50 4 minutes behind Phinney, even considering his lack of climbing skills. Let's see if we can get someone in the break for the KoM points, not likely being so high on GC, but i hope for a miracle i guees

AC just cool as you like, brilliant 3rd place on the stage and hopefully he holds the Top5 GC. Also nice depth in Heppy and Goose and Postl not far off either. If Ewan can win again. or podium and take the Points we'll be looking at an awesome race! Big if though with this AI
