I guess that is what would be expected of us. Horrible TT squad we have here with van der Hugenhaben the best.
I hope the huge amount of lost time, and no sprinter will make us be aggressive, but I doubt that will be the case.

Was kind of expecting Cheung to finish the highest of our riders today, but might mean Shikai is in good form here. Good that he's not too far back!

Love that 2nd from Lobato!! Showing great strength there. Imagine if he and Bouhanni worked together
Disappointing to see Zingle & VdB dropped but didn't expect a hell of a lot from them anyway. In a way it's good as they should be stage hunting with the rest of our team for the rest of the race, similar to how Lobato went today.

Intense stage there. Thankfully it went smoothly for us. Not sure it's going to go that well in the next couple of stages, but fingers are locked in overlapping position.

Pretty much a perfect stage for us! The three sprinters ahead couldn't have been matched any way, so this feels like a win from a GC rider's perspective.
Strange to see Reimer dropped, he would've loved that opportunity.
We got white now, so it's time to defend it against Mohoric to make it a clean sweep from now on. Additionally, third on points already is great and hopefully means we can target that tomorrow too.
On that topic, this is where the race can be won or lost now, so we have to continue today's work and keep everyone within sight.

Damn. So close from Kastrantas. Atleast we tried and thus also scored some points for the KOM. Should have won that though. Kastrantas only attacks once pr. race (I don't think he ever attacked more) so unfortunately he won't score much here. Stage 3 and 4 are, on paper, good for him though so if he could bother he could land a good result there.

A bit strange to see us doing so much workshop, as Martin was never going to be the favourite in a sprint, but a nicely worked out stage for us anyway. Hopefully it's a good sign for the coming days.

Herklotz will be tough to stop here for sure. Looks to be fit for fight to limit his losses the next two stages - if there will even be any.
Now into imo the most crucial stage of the race, looking forward to it!

Nice Brändle in the leader jersey! Won't keep it for long, but I hope the jersey bonus might make him not loose too much in the upcoming challenging stages. |

Good that Shikai could finish with the top riders on this hilly stage. if he can get thru the next one too, I will be confident of a good result.

Cool to see Kangert and Senyenov pop up in the sprint like that.

Watching Barbero is always a joy, probably my favourite rider.
Was hoping that Slagter would be more active though, hard to get a solid result racing like this.

If only Koretzky hadn't fucked up big time on the previous stage he would have been in a very good position to fight for a low-end top 10. But at this rate he will struggle to get a top 20.
Robin van der Hugenhaben neutrally doing decent, which will obviously come to nothing as his acceleration will see him collapse sooner or later.
Like anticipated nothing from Kastrantas who had a perfect opportunity to take the KOM of only he could bother.
Good showing from Archimandritis though, to keep us strong for the Team GC (Also something that will seriously drop during both the mountain and TT, though. But fun while it lasts.

A nummer that Martin didn't achieve anything here, despite looking quite good at times. His lack of meaningful attacks is starting to worry me. Kwiato managed to get a good amount of seconds down to both Martin and Herklotz, so probably his race to lose now.
Edit: Good riding by the team though, especially Raileanu who's already been quite impressive this season.

That was fucking awful and we're very close to have lost the entire race already.

Yes, that was big!
Very very strong from Kwiat to chase that break solo, including dropping Koretzky, a super strong puncheur in his own right. I would've loved for him to contest the stage sprint, but not too worried as he's a much stronger climber than the 3 ahead of him.
There's still 3 important stages left and I know from Jelajah that he can fail at the most important times, but I'm very happy for now - and wearing the points jersey is awesome!
Thanks for the report Tamijo and gratz on the stage win DD!

This first hilly day was nice to us, almost perfect seeing Intxausti arriving in the same group as Herklotz. Only a shame to have Reia lose time. Another of these tomorrow and I'm a happy man.
Great victory for Ginanni, but most importantly great day for Kwiatko. Congrats guys!
