TVG took third here last year and won this race in 2015.
Nice to see teams overlooking him here as a top favourite. He performs better when all eyes are looking elsewhere. A Top 5 would be acceptable, but I think another podium finish is certainly possible.

Wow, that's a stacked lineup. I hope we can perform like in P-N, just without that one horrible off-day. The longer TTT should suit us well.

Since the startlist is strong I wanted to highlight 20 riders. Maybe should've stopped at Ulissi but anyway. Consider the others as outsider then
Did you write this great preview pre or after racing? Mentioning Izagirre as "outsider with TTT advantage" only makes me worrying
Before the racing...

Gratz Matt to the win, nice win for the TTT specialized team. I am very happy with the result tbh, 47 seconds is doable and everything is within range. Most important thing though is that Bakelants wasn't dropped, unlike some of our competitors. what a move by the ai once again jeez. thanks abi!

Sucks for Jayco to underperform yet again...
Even more crap to see these leaders getting dropped along the way. That is a huge AI fuckup imo, and something we really need to be careful with when planning our setups next season.

A little bummer that EBH lost a few seconds to the rest of the team, but all in all a good start. Within good reach of all our main rivals, so looking forward to the coming days.
Great to see our TT buddies taking the win, big congrats matt!

TTTs are so overrated
Losing 69 seconds despite not having a single 70+ TTer is fully acceptable. Many competitors have gained very little on us :
-26 Sagan
-22 Bakelandts
-13 Tejay
-4 Ginanni
+10 Ponzi
good stage for us
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Don't tell anyone!
Decent stuff from us, less than a minute behind the winners is little, and hopefully Beltran is up for the task and makes the most out of the hilly stuff now. Hopefully both he and his team mates are allowed to ride aggressive. If they are, that could open a lot of possibilities for him, and especially for Dyrnes and Hoelgaard. |

Many teams fked over by their TTT train with many leader getting dropped. Poljanski was also dropped, but by a lesser margin than most teams, so in that regard it was a good stage for us.

Sooooo you're telling me Skujins on a good TTT team would've lost 4 minutes, and on a shit TTT team he actually gained on some puncheurs?
Congrats and thanks Generali, awesome to see my former GC captain ( ) Pierre Rolland take the jersey!

Ouch, guess thinking I could help Ginanni's GC with a strong TTT lineup was a mistake.
Congrats to Generali! Impressive win

Was pleased with fourth, then I scrolled down to see that the team had rode on without TVG. At least it happened to other teams as well, but pretty stupid AI there.

At first I was like: nice, a top 10 is good. Then I was like: what the fuck are you idiots doing? How can you drop Quevedo AND white jersey candidate Mohoric, but having Jaka fucking Bostner hanging on. I just don't understand PCM15.

Good TTT for us. 11th at only 37 secs was better than i was hoping for.
Hopefully Ignatiev can stay close to the top 10 before the TTT.
