Great preview jandal, looking at the start list quite pleased I didn't pick this race for Flügel.

Hoping for a not too selective couple of hills so that Borges may have a chance at a top10 in the final dash.
Sagan for the double, though?

Hoping for something better from Lutsenko this time after the disaster in China. Should suit him, in theory...

Hilly races were never a big source of points for us, I hoped to change that a little bit with Moazemi, but we still get rated as the worst team by the startlist.
I probably can't ask for much from him in this race, I guess a top20 would be a great result already. Will be interesting to see how the race turns out, if the best puncheurs manage to split up the peloton or a bigger bunch will come to the finish together. Personally I'm hoping on the second scenario, as a bunch sprint in such a race is mostly a lottery and I have a higher chance getting lucky through that then Moazemi staying with the best puncheurs when they attack. |

Well,I guess the startlist is what you expect when you have to race against PT team. A top 20 I think will have to be a success for Juul-Jensen. Let's hope he gets there. otherwise, a long range attack would also be a nice attempt.

Though the cards are stacked against him, we will be pulling for Kwiatek

Really looking forward to this race, thanks for a really cool preview. I absolutely expect that everything important is going to happen just on that final big hill. Ideally Sagan is able to get away from the peloton and then use his really good DH stat in downhill. But this may not happen at all, as I think there is a really decent chance we will see a sprint of a bigger group in Colombo. Still the minimum expectation has to be top 10 here for Sagan, top 5 would be a good result.
Also I already really like the startlist mix between both PT and PCT. Should be fun.

Huge results for Scandinavia! PCT teams stood up strong in this race.
Congrats both to tastasol, ember and bbl!

Not happy. Kelderman didn't seem to do any work so a Top 5 from that group should've been possible, and how in the world did Demare give up his good position pre-sprint?? He did way better in Badaling under significantly tougher circumstances.
8th 20th 26th, while it should have been something like 5th 12th 20th. 100 points was supposed to be a minimum, now we got 73 out of it.
At least we had a lot of PCT teams taking points away, good job! And obviously congratzzZZZzzzZZz to Edvald Bewley Hagen.

Not sure how I feel about that race honestly, a little bit strange overall with some leaders up the front but some inexplicably not appearing. Obviously Hagen is a beast (Congrats tastasol!) and in the group behind a mix of expected stars but also a few less expected riders getting good results, Drynes wasn't entirely expected and while I did expect Juul-Jensen to be better than he looked, a huge boost for Carlsberg for him to deliver, properly, maybe now BBL can stop expecting relegation.
On the other hand, so many riders didn't even make Kwiatkowski's group (before it got caught by the peloton) like Lutsenko, Mccarthy, Schreurs and Beltran and then guys like Demare not sprinting as well. A shame for those managers but also kinda weird by PCM.
As for me, I kinda hoped the mountain stat would come into play and Kwiatek could have a good race, looks like it was 100% hill though and while I'm a little disappointed he wasn't active and didn't at least make the Bobridge group but it's good to see that the team are willing to work hard for him as that usually proves that PCM denotes him as a rider of some value. Also, it looks like Honkisz, Stachowiak and Rabbotini did some good chasing, actually useful domestique work being something particularly Rabbotini and Honkisz avoided last season, which especially makes Honkisz getting into the group pretty nice to see.
And obviously this is a half PT field (not that it's much stronger than a PCT field tbh). And I don't think he'll race in many (if any) other PTHC races. So signs are mixed for the rest of the season, guess it just keeps the suspense going. As for the final result, a top 10 or an attack would've been nice at least but 13th is fine (roughly equal to a top 10 in HC races, so he got a top 10 of sorts )
Thank you for the report Jandal, it was detailed and really well-written!

Deserved winner here, easily getting away and bossing to victory. Congrats.
A somewhat strange race by Bobridge, as I never saw him finishing 2nd when reading the report Eventually though, it seems he did everything right, leading the chasing group into the final kms to use his ACC for the result we had hoped for. Our depth behind him is ridicolously bad though.. anyway, great runner-up for Bobo. Those group sprints can be bitchy, so well done.
Cool report, btw. Even though one or two shots from the sprint for 2nd place would have been highly appreciated Enjoyed the read nevertheless.

Yes, awesome ride by Eddy. Building on our decent results in Australia, January should be a good month for us. Super thrilled to have our first victory already, especially as EBH have struggled a bit in the classics the last seasons.
And boy, I'm really stoked about the top four. All riders from our regional «rivals», and I'm really glad to see Juul-Jensen in fourth. I do love that guy, and if he can continue like that, hopefully bbl don't have to worry to much about relegation.
Would have liked to see Skjerping and Watson amongst the top 50, but can't complain to much about that. Thanks for the report, jandal

Good race for PCT teams. EBH cruising to a dominant win but also Meiji with a strong race. And of course Juul Jensen with the huge upset finishing way above his weight. Awesome race for bbl!
Thanks for a great report!

First of all I am pleased to see that the game recognizes Costa as a leader and not Vogt, as they will both participate in many races this season.
11,19,27 and 32 not bad if we take into account that we ran against several PT teams.
Congrats to Grieg and thanks for the report

Is it too early to start the De Maar comparisons?
Absolutely thrilled with that result in a PTHC field of that skill. The points are nice too obviously, even early in the year there's always an eye on the relegation fight.
Expected and convincing win by EBH, deserved for Grieg.

Spending 1.2 million on training Betancourt and he's beaten by Diego flipping Milan. I hope this is just some early season struggles and he'll improve in the next races.
Congrats Grieg, Boasson Hagen will be tough to beat this year. Thanks jandal7 for the report
