2 races in since the last update.
At the top Porto Prio scored well in Colombian Venteau while Strava hugely dominated Paris Tours. Wiesenhof scoring a bit in both sees them still having a 500 point gap. More and more sealing in their title.
Strava though climbs up to 2nd as Hugo Boss didn`t participate in any of those two races.
The biggest move at the top comes from Spotify. They are up to 7th and hence a potential promoting team depending on the amount of teams going up. The hilly HC classics coming still though favour VisitUkraine, Generali or Meiji a lot more and even Ayubowan might do well there.
Further down Compal continues to score nicely and are probably totally out of danger as they scored 2nd best in Paris Tours.
Indosat and Lierse scored decent and more than most teams below them. So well done to those two.
Shimano and Azteca then above the line for the moment. They lost a bit in the relegation fight but still on the good side.
Flores with 14 points just gained a tiny bit but then again it`s also just 7 points to Azteca and hence a very close fight until the very last race.
And also Aeropostal is closing. They had the best performance down there and even though they might have hoped for more, 48 points is a lot more than the teams above them. They are also within one good race day range.
While 23-28 looks within one race and hence a lot of mixing can happen, in especially the Azteca, Flores, Aeropostal fight for the very last safe spot seems exciting as they are within 25 points only.
Race day wise it`s not looking good for Azteca as they used the most down there and 4rd less really could be vital. Projections hence see them down to 27th while Flores would go above the line.
Vontobel needs a huge hill performance by Di Maggio as also some points by Appollonio as otherwise they won`t be able to pass that ~80 pts differential.

Well, 5th is good. But is it enough?
Grats Strava, a fantastic classic win to finish their fantastic season.
And as always, thanks for the swift and excellent report!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yep that was quite bad from the team, why Zielinsk! Why bother chasing, when there is no point, as we will suck in the finale anyway...
Lavoine and Maes nowhere to be seen, this season is pretty much about collecting bread crumbs for the future

We aren't going to do it. We have 3 races left: Course de Solidanorsc, where Cabrera will be leading us; Java where Duarte and Cabrera will both be present, and we must forget Japan - we won't score there. So, we basically need a good race in both. There's hope! |

Thanks Croatia, great report. I have no words for the performance of my team here.
+1, except I actually have two for mine: fucking abysmal. I wouldn't be so surprised if Ghyselinck's attack was the reason why our team stopped staying in the front to help Theuns... who didn't even top 30 to snatch 5 points. Viviani was 27th, but why would he sprint and not Eddy? PCM...
And to top it all off, Spotify's just overtaken us. In one race. Fucking amazing! Not that I mind, their team is better than ours and they were heavily unlucky throughout the season while we've had our lucky moments more than seldom.
Congrats Strava though! What a ludicrous year.

OMG Langeveld.. heroo!! he gets us a win that can secure us direct promotion, who else but him? <3 <3 <3
I'm super glad that my tactic of bringing a squadron of flat beasts to this classic worked out. Paris-Tours is often times contested in PCM by them actually and I have numerous times used the tactic of the attack within 10k for my advantage. This is due to the small bump I think that can give attackers a real advantage.
Well, obviously I am over the moon. Langeveld has established himself as the icon of Strava for good, boys. Thanks for a fantastic report croatia. I read it after a business meeting in the car of my boss whilst he was outside telephoning and I hope my boss didn't hear my loud yes
Also what was up with that Vantomme/Van de Sande double move
Also gratz to bjartne for effectively securing the division. Oddly enough back then I think I was having a lil bid war about Jack Bauer with him, if memory serves right.

Absolutely amazing season for Strava, who have been just crazy lucky with these results all season long. The PT campaign could become a very long and hard season, unless the team is seriously reshaped. But can't wait to see what happens to the team. It has been going very very fast, very similar to Evonik.

Wow, Shonak, you just can't not win, congrats on your team's aggressive race and Langeveld's great result!
Vantomme disappointing and (as could be expected) everybody was chasing for him so no attacks, and I guess the route didn't suit trains with the hills at the end. Still the team is just running out of steam now at the end of the season, fortunately we're out of anything serious in the rankings so racing quietly might be a blessing in disguise ni terms of renewals, although it's a shame with some of my favourite races now for us to lose like this one and our home race Solidarnosc soon.
Also, somehow, PCM has made sure that Van Der Sande beats Vantomme by a tiny margin once again, even for 8th place!
Thank you very much for the fantastic report Croatia!

Just don't see anyway Azteca is going to survive. Unless we can get those end of season rider upgrades right now so Chaves and Beltran go up to 79HI. So unless magic points come out from Giro dell'Emilia and/or Japan Cup there will likely be a Summerhill sale.

Somewhat disappointed by the outcome. Looking at the winner here, an attack by Kuznetsov could've had a good chance of succeeding. On the other hand, an 11th place in the sprint is quite good for him. Bit of training in the off-season and he'll be an absolute killer in these kinds of races (hopefully )
No words for Serebriakov.

That Spotify team - Wow! That would be a very very competitive PT train with a top sprinter to finish things off aswell. Ahlstrand, Kvist, Reimer, van Poppel, Hermans, Kruopis. I wish I had that kind of sprint setup.
Yeah, it does look quite good on paper right?
They dont always live up too that...
And of course they screwed it up this time aswell but the wind on the other hand made it maybe a bit harder. IQ not on top by Hermans/Ahlstrand in the end...
But pts wise it´s still a good race for us but seeing the result a bit dissatisfied once more I would have hoped Ahlstrand to get a better place, but he cant demand so high wage after this season. Thats good. Or maybe he can...
Once more congrats too Strava
And again nice reporting! Thanks! |

Congratulations Strava, what a great late attack!
And also -YAY- for Jack Bauer who very unexpectadly gave us a superb boost in the relegation fight. I hope we can lower our shoulders soon, but on the other hand, we're so close to reach the Top 20 Team standings goal.
Thank you for another great report croatia, very fun to follow the sprint as it became really close in the end. And also thanks to roturn for updating the ranking table! |

What a race, and very nice to see Jack Bauer one of our former riders get 2nd! Itami grabbed a 13th which isn't too bad.
