Skala 14th, Polivoda not sprinting... Sure.. Would have had an outside chance at a top 10, but this is fine too.

Well, not a bad start for us, but this stage was doubtless a missed opportunity for Avelino to wear yellow for a day.
Anyways, congratulations Jayco'z! Time for some hills now!

This is one of those races where I cannot expect much but I've got quite a few guys with upside here who have the potential to surprise.
First stage was not good for me.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Waeytens caught napping again. Don't care about him getting back because the TT would destroy his GC anyway, but at least try to get a stage result..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Some nice points made by Kastrantas here. Let's hope he wants to defend the KOM jersey. That would be a very nice feat for us.

Well, not bad first two stages for Compal here. Dekker seems turned on and I think 30 seconds down is kind of affordable when we have the long TT coming up. Interrestingly also Jack Bauer on the same time, which is also a solid rider against the clock, but I assume he can't hold on tomorrow.
Well, Thomas needs to keep the distance beneath 1 minute I think. I am a tad afraid for the next stage. |

Was hoping we could earn some time today but instead we'll have to do something together, good to keep Flugel from earning too much though (gratz heine) and nice to see Rabottini and Marczynski doing a good job with the pacing.
Thanks for another fantastic report roturn

I guess today didn't hurt us any, but didn't look pretty either.

Nepomnyachsniy and Konovalovas both looking good, hope they can both hang on on tomorrow's stage and then get a good result in the long ITT. Should be possible given both of them have done well in the past 2 editions.

Would have been nice to see Caruso contest the sprint a bit more but I'll take him and Roy keeping in touch after that stage. Need a bit more from Caruso in the hills with this TT though.

Lanes breakaway appearance has most likely secured the bonus we need to make up for the mediocre bunch sprint by Appollonio.
Very curious about tomorrow, but sense the GC will be decided in the TT and Dekker turns out the guy to beat.

Tough day for Wiesenhof. Luckily promotion is pretty much secured and isn`t depending on this race alone. But no idea how Flügel was that crap here.
H/M ratio can`t be as also seen by other rider performances. Flügel was easily the top favourite on that stage here as well but must have had a -5 surely.
Was really nice to see Borges taking the win. Played and reported it stage for stage and was already hoping to see this scenario when writing stage 2, where he dropped back for Avelino.
LLS and Craven just with their Ukraine veteran move, while the home team probably was waiting on Flügel to do something as well as Nepomnyachsniy was always with him. |

Borges is one of my favourite riders of the division, he's like Villella but more consistent.
The TT will be straight fire! Don't see Dekker losing this with a good performance today, but LLS and Bibby if advantaged by better daily form and other factors might give him a run for his money.

Nepomnyachsniy you absolute dipshit.... At least Konovalovas may still secure our top 5 goal...

don't count out Yoann Paillot yet! He's perfectly on his way to a potential podium or at least a top 5. Stunning ride by the mooh.

The stage turned out good for Dekker. LLS and Craven are quite capable against the clock and on a normal TT they would have no problem keeping Dekker behind. But with a 45K time trial there is possibility to catch such a gap if the dayform is there. But Bibby are also dangerous and might pass Dekker with a good day too.
I guess a lot of the next stage is decided by the daily form, just as Flügel unluckily had maybe his worst day of the season on this decicive stage.
Great stage and reporting today roturn, and I expect a thrilling encounter on the Time Trial as well! |

I would have liked it very much if Vasyliv was in the place of Le Gac and not the other way around. Like it is now, we won't have any riders in the top 20 of the GC, although we have been riding pretty well...
Kastrantas consolidating and thus securing (I think) the KOM jersey is a very nice bonus however! 4x3 points from leading the shirt + 25 from winning it. So atleast we will get 37 points from this race, baring any crashes, and hopefully we can get a few GC points aswell as a couple of U25 points also. So we are aiming for 50 points, which will be a nice intake from a HC race - Especially seeing that we are one of the worst HC teams of the PT peloton.

I'm not sure whether to be extremely pleased or not. 2nd on the stage is amazing, particularly with Rabottini having his best stage all season in 8th and throw in the current Teams classification lead too.
However that lead looks way too fragile before the TT, daily form will play a huge role, but I can definetly see Dekker and Bibby tearing through that lead and it's only 11 seconds for Craven as well, so looking unlikely to make our win goal. Still, happy for now.
Thanks for another great report roturn

Hey that was impressive, what a ride from Borges! Indeed this was pretty much all I could expect so that time loss on stage 2 was irrelevant. Flugel had a disastrous day on the saddle which was a shame but the GC top5 looks stupendous ahead of the decisive TT.
Thanks for the immersive report, roturn
