What a fail. 7th clearly not good enough result.
Big congrats to Evonik! What a way to win a flat race. Also nice to see Maksimov doing this well in him home race. And big thanks for a really nice report!
Oh and I am happy for Festina. Looking like they may as well have this year's ranking in their bag now. First ever defended PT crown?

A decent sprint from Meyer, 13th is good in such a strong field. Nice to see Vandenbergh on the attack as well.
Congrats to knockout on the surprise win. |

Wikipedia defended their 2013 title in 2014, so it wouldn't be a first!

Being the 5th highest scoring team here, heavily outscoring some rivals I hate to be the one asking - But I don't want to end up winning the PT if a race should have been re-run.
Gazelle was not present at this race, neither in the preview or the results. I know it is a clashing race, but I wouldn't feel right not raising the question.
This, however, makes me think that everything is in order, but I'll let Dubbeldekker or the organizors answer that question.

Gazelle is not in the participation file for Moscow, so they probably skipped this race voluntarily. Waiting for roturn to confirm though.

Haha spectacular result! Very cool to see a baroudeur take this with an attack and have Maksimov win the sprint.
Oh and indeed we didn't participate here on purpose, which I forgot. So definitely no rerun needed. Congrats knockout!

Thanks Croatia14 for reporting another race, very exciting report and amazing ride by Van Avermaet! Also very pleased to see Porsev, Korzh and Boev all in the top-25 here in Moscow. Also Maksimov 2nd... there might be a national bonus after all?

Maksimov beat Bewley, that's a win in my book. Now if I could only convince Maksimov that every flat stage is being raced on Russian soil then he might be more useful throughout the season.

I will take a decent 5th place, SRB's sprint train attempts have been bizarre to say the least - but a scrambled sprint you take what you can get.
GVA controversial charactor - but another superb result in Evonik's massive season.

Groenewegen a bit lower than I had hoped but about where he should finish. So no big race for me but okay.
Nice to see that a late attack had success here. Evonik really on fire at the moment. |

I feared a failure here due to not bringing the strongest team around Guarnieri. Still, the train looked quite decent, but the sprint was just not good enough. 9th place in a field like this is just not good enough.
