You know, when planning the season I actually expected Mikel Landa to be worth any thing.. Now I just gotta be pleased if he finishes inside top 15.
Hoping for a break-away result here althoug its extremly unlikely since the stage is too long for breaks to succeed.
Some top puncheurs missing here, especially weird to see LLS missing here on home soil, his overall skills would make him a favourite here.
It was a difficult decision and i think i had this in his schedule in a first draft but unfortunatelly, LLS has very limited RDs so I had to make a choice.
During planning I somehow thought that Geschke / Siskevicius would make an interesting duo due to their strong finish in these kind of races. I speculated on large groups and that they could outsprint most inside these groups. That's why LLS does not race many of these hilly with flat finish classics. But the way G/S perform I gave up my hopes. Let's see if they at least finish ahead of Roy
But seeing that this decision let me pick another stage race for LLS (i think it was Ukraine which wasnt in the first draft) i could have chosen worse
And this is what I was waiting for since the season began with Down Under Classic. Geschke with a strong result and for once I really was right with a pre race comment. Top ten is great!
Gazelle though. How do they manage this consistency ? Impressive!
I love to see Prevar winning. Nice rider and that will surely bring some drama into the final relegation battle which will hopefully be very exciting! Congrats to fjhoekie!
Thanks for a great report. Eventhough none of my riders was mentioned (?) It was a great read!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

That's because they did nothing the whole race, I found out Evonik was racing when I noticed Geschke came in the top 10

Very disappointed with this race. Reimer and Hoogerland being very active and trying something and we only came in 30th... Would have been better if Reimer took it easy and saved him for a sprint instead...
But never less congrats to the podium riders/teams! |

No problem. I wrote it more in anger of my team as I hoped to see them in the break or something. Definitely, not because I wanted to criticise the report.
I was watching the report pics and was like " where did that Evonik guy come from " and " no way, is Geschke really contesting the sprint or is that another of my guys? "
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Very weird race, and a shame to see a race being that little selective, really.
That being said, it was a fun one. Great to see an outside bet like Prevar take the win, congrats fjhokie!
For me, Meyer should have done better, but considering the way he rode, I'm still pleased. He really tried to get the win today, just couldn't hold that 20th attack. 10th, 12th and 24th, so totally decent performance point wise.
Thanks for the report, matt. Very good one.

Pretty good result from Bystrøm considering his stats, but we're doing our best to hide in these PCT races, eventhough Lund tried to show off the jersey early. Hopefully next time we'll be allowed to be in a breakaway that lasts until the final 50 kilometers and not one that is over before they've started properly
Thanks for the report, matt17br! And congratulations to fjhoekie, must be some very welcome success |

Congratulations to Chernobyl. Great victory from Prevar! fjhoekie must be printing the final screenshot and framing it for posterity Quite an interesting race as well, with lots of promising attacks and regroupings. Thanks for the intense report matt.
Very disappointing race for my team though.

Wow, I have a very double feeling about this race. The way we controlled the entire finale is awesome. Second and fourth is awesome. But still, I can't shake the feeling that if the AI would've chosen the obvious option (Pozzato) instead of Oss as our sprinter for the day, we actually would've won.
Really can't complain about this great result though. Nice job by Oss and Furdi!
Also, congrats to Prevar and his team. Very strong attack!

As Di Maggio once again did his thing the good performance by Gatto and Hollenstein made it one of our best hilly classics this season.
Was looking for Pozzatos result, too... guessing the race development worked in his favor. Blessed is he, who can compensate. Stunning lineup by Gazelle!
Gratz to Prevar! Seems to get a tense fight for the saving 25th spot.
Thanks for reporting, matt! Was an entertaining read.

28th is as much as I can expect from my puncheurs in a hilly classic, so nothing to complain here. Thanks for the report matt. |

Ian Boswell another solid race for AMEX-Navigon finishing 5th. Boswell was followed by Mark O'Brien (17th) and Mehr-Wenige (23rd) for a total of 120 points.
No Win, No Podium but a steady solid performance.

What a strange race indeed with the top 5 goal coming into it a 6th for Bellis is heartbreaking as he was coming through riders at the end and better positioning and he could have made the goal, on the plus side though great riding by Naud in the break is hopeful for the future and a lot of our riders were in the first group |
