Decent start that. Very surprised(and glad to be honest) to see that Gesckhe and Bole didn't challenge for the win.

Geschke and Bole not trying to sprint is a joke really, together with two trains almost completely occupying top7.

Although I'd hoped for a better result for Popov I think this was a decent result, and nice to see we're in the KoM already.

Not a good start. At least my leaders lost no time today. |

Time for a double post:
Much better this time. I was sure that Geschke had won this after the finish line pic but obviously I am wrong. But this is the Geschke I wanna see!

Wow! Rowe delivering his first win, thats what I like to see, I thought for a moment that Geschke had won, so it is a nice surprise

A nice steady uneventful stage. Great to see Araujo and Borges show some panache at the end. Would be good to see us hold the yellow jersey going into stage four, but I am not holding my breath as the bonifications may see a sprinter take it. |

Quiet first couple stages, though this race wasn't too big a target for us

Apparently I am in this... didn't know that. Thought it was a C1 race. but ok. No sprinter here but Wengelin almost pulled something out. Nice aggression.

So one Alpina rider actually does something - Rubiano gets in the break and ends up 3rd overall after the stage - things are looking up! But no, 16 minutes down the drain...

Schurter avoided the split so that's good, hopefully he will show something on one of the remaining hilly stages.

Geschke is in a good GC position for the upcoming hill stage. This should let the AI consider him as a GC contender and thus, following the attacks of the top puncheurs!
Farrar seems incredible strong here! Azteca once again prove that they can provide him an excellent leadout!

Mmmmm.... I love it when a plan comes together. Team was fantastic today, doing a great job of dropping some of the sprinters that struggle on slightly bumpy terrain, and then putting down the hammer in the last couple of kilometers. Farrar stamps the stage with a decisive win.
Now to see what we plan to do for this GC thing...

Rowe doing well again, should be a close battle for the Points jersey here, Geschke should be my favourite though.
With the hills coming, I hope Richardson can show us something similar to what he did in Guatemala
