Big D does it again, second win of the season. Let's see if he can catch up with the three Mendes already has.

Good start that. Hopefully Sutton and Matthews will cooperate in the following stages.

Rasmussen has seemingly overcome his intense fear of vertical roads and pursued his true talent in sprinting! I am so glad I paid what I did for him now. As long as the hills aren't near the finish and they aren't steep he is really good and his positioning has been really good as well.

Breakaway good, sprint bad. Come on Peeters, you were supposed to be the ninja-signing of the year!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Stage 2 is what the race really needed, meaning Drapac didn't take any bonus seconds. Now it is wide open.
Manarelli finished really strongly, if he gets the right wheel he can definitely take a win here. The less said about PCM2013, giving a lead-out to ONCE (whose lead-out riders rode on the front all day long) and not Bonsucro (we have one of the top 3-5 lead-out men on paper), the better. |

PCM usually does not decide by strength of leadout but instead deciding the trains in terms of top sprinters.
So Guillen will even get a weak train instead of a 7th best sprinter with brilliant leadout.
So sending a possible leadout train unfortunately only helps when having one of the best sprinters. |

Another solid performance from Matthews. Thought for a second that he was long gone, before I realised that he was wearing the point's jersey. Would love to see some more help for Matthews, but as long as a break doesn't succeed, it should be a good race this.

Haven't read the entire report yet, but...
..this GC! Three former Ozzies on podium
Edit: cool report. Loved how Drapac fooled the reporter there

Meh, cant really fault Rowe, he has finally got his act together, but without bonus seconds, he really isn't going to get many points :/

Another top performance from Matthews that! Hoped he would take it, but most important to gain time on the nearest competitors in the GC. Hopefully he can manage a stage win later on.

Rangel is pretty disappointing in his home race. I do hope he improves a bit, otherwise I hope we can reclaim the KOM jersey.
