The hell if happening to my dead certain relegation boys at Boeing? Not only are we outside the relegation places on pure merit out PpRD position is solidly mid-table! All of that without a rider in the Top50 individual ranking. Results getting spread around which is great, and Thomas providing the great foundation from the classics.
More importantly to us though is that America Tour standings where we are in a real position to challenge for that Top5 placing we need to fulfill our Goal.
Still early in the season but we can now really pick out those teams who will be chasing promotion and those who will be battling relegation.

Good reading for Bonsucro.
Nice to see Bonsucro in the top10 of the American standings atm, which is our goal. Doing well or not in the Tour of America much later on will decide heavily whether we finish in the top 10 or not come the end of the season in the American standings. |

This season has been a pleasant surprise .... I think you can say that my team is the biggest surprise so far.
The margin for the fall zone is already comfortable, and the aim to stay at the top15 looks increasingly real.
But what pleases me most is that the team points are spread over several riders ..

Can't think what else to say other than cool, cool, cool. The Langkawi and San Luis double header went very well for Nutresa. Hopefully our focus on squad depth rather than out-and-out stars will continue to pay off as season proceeds (Top 5 is team goal, hopefully we can stay in the frame on PPRD). Still relatively early days though, and doesnt take more than a couple of good/bad races to turn things around. Astonished to see Risa struggling so much in rankings, that squad needs to up their game to repay the faith of their manager!

Happy to see that my team is, if nothing else, surprising the rankings. Predicted to be last by well, everyone, I'm glad to see my guys doing ok.
And holy Venchi.

Come join me in the basement, I've got candy here.
Quite disappointing...but the season projections aren't far off I guess.

Thanks for the nice update SN!
Dont know what to say about Metinvest position, relegation places and some 600-700 points deficit to teams i thought we will battle through the season, at least projection sees us few places higher, with second fewest race days.
Fun fact:
Ignatiev in PT 375 points in 9 race days
Ignatiev in PCT 92 points in 7 race days including best Ignatiev-suited race in calendar.
He is our best scorer with those 92 points, that says it all.

Did not expect us to be topping the table already, considering we only have ridden 25 race days. A very pleasent surprise!
We have som useless cobble-racedays and some difficult mountain races coming up in the near future, so I predict our PpRD will drop quite a bit the coming months. Nice to have a bit of a gap on the other teams, though.
Thanks for the update!

Looking really good so far, feels nice not being on the bottom of the table. With a little luck, I still like our chances to promote.

Looking closer, two bottoms teams don't surprise, certs to go down unless Cavendish produces stunning wins allround from now on.
I am surprised by Metinvest, honestly thought you were doing better with Rabon doing well in TdU, but still only 29 race days raced, so it's too bad.
I am very glad Hornbach is out of bottom 5, but honestly aside the two almost sure teams to go down, the rest is a bit of lottery.
Promotion will be tight too. Winner is already known, but 2nd - 5th could be anyones. I think La Vie will stay there, I think the team is nicely balanced to have good leader in all races, and Gautier is not a fluke, he will be perform on the same level he does now.
I would not be surprised if the Top 5 stays the same at the end of year, here's hoping, I'd be delighted. If there is someone to attack these places its for sure Meiji and Oz who I think have a big chance if few results go their way. However it's definitely possible.
Anyhow, we really need Vantomme to do better to make sure we are comfortable here, 18 points after 13 race days is...welll...

5th. That's fine, and that's where we want to be in the end.

Cavendish hasn't raced much in the last few weeks, went for Hutarovich who came up with a win in Oman and Thorsen, who well has bee useless.
But I think I may start planning for next season and look to bounce back as we are doomed.

Some surprises here for me with the likes of Meiji and Karcher-Adira going really well on the PpRD comparison.
Le Vie Claire just beginning to slip down towards just outside promotion spots - with Bacardi, Heineken, the supposedly under performing Quickstep and highly charged Venchi slipping into the top places.
I am still rooting for my wildcard Gazelle pick for promotion, DubbelDekker just does not waste race days and I think some guys have in the development/my home race style thoughts.
CTour is all over the place with some teams making real hay in C1 type races we could see some big fluctuations over the year. The sprinters in particular are proving an erratic breed in this division possibly a lot of them having trouble getting their big power to the right position at the finishes. I don't think this divisions races have really told their story yet - going to change a fair bit I think.
Also have to agree with TMM when he says Boeing have had an amazing start to the year - really mid table is great for them!

Not really happy with dropping outside the Top 10, but our big races are yet to come. Or so I hope.

Thanks for the update, SN!
I'm happy we still remain on track.
The Langkawi flop jeopardises our overall and asia tour ranking result. I already apologized to the organisateurs and fans in Malaysia... it was without a doubt a management mistake. The race would have been a perfect fit for Armindo Fonseca or at least Stephané Poulhiès. Instead we sent a complete youth squad to give proof of our lack of ambition.
Other than that things are running better than expected. Marcel Wyss' talents have never been questioned, but that he turns out a one man scoring machine like that couldn't be imagined.
