Important race for the team, with Elijzen hanging on a bit if the AI goes mad in the HI stage, and otherwise Duggan doing well and making up the time on the top puncher(s) in the TT.
@Geschke discussion
Yeah, this race obviously doesn't suit Geschke

I forgot to add that Stannard dropped too. It's added now, thanks to Jph27 who noticed it!

So, Hill stat does have more of an effect on sprinters. So why is Haussler useless?
Congrats to Evonik. Geschke is a great rider for CT and even PCT. |

I noticed Stannard dropping. Good for Elijzen's morale, but he would lose tons of time in the hill stage either way

Not sure if it`s much suited for him.
The flat stages are not hard enough to drop the much better sprinters and the hilly stage might be too hard.
The train won`t help him as your team is very unlikely to have one.
That said if the hills on the first prove more selective than I think, than he could have a chance.
I don't think the hills will be very selective but i would guess that the other sprinter lose too much energy there and miss their normal top speed but of course i might be wrong as well.
Great call there
Celebrating my first stage victory of the team history. Great feeling it is
Now hoping for more
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I shouldn't let Geschke win that, but I was too bored to replay whole stage...
Congratulations Knockout! Luckily (for you and the rest of competition) Nordeus & Bole aren't here, so that makes it way easier.

Well that was an interesting day, would have liked to win, but 3 riders in the top 7 isn't bad either.

Seeing stages like this, where Bonsucro are totally absent, makes me think buying a quality hilly sprinter for next season will be the team's no.1 priority.
-- A good win for knockout nevertheless. |

Wu in the KOM jersey which is good, lets see if he can keep it.
However didn't expect Stannard to drop on this stage but he was always going to lose packets on the hill stage, so it just brought forward the inevitable. Hope he'll recover enough for the time trial anyway.

Yurp, still doing nothing on flat stages, but at least all of our guys are still finished in the main group.
Hoping to get in the break one of these stages...

Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

What a ride by Kragh Anderson! Totally unexpected. Sucks Sabatini got caught behind in the final dash but the team made up for it.

So you are finally convinced Nardin is worth more than you were bidding?

Congrats to Evonik. Geschke is a great rider for CT and even PCT.
76 acceleration is your answer, as it is by far the most importasnt stat in PCM13. He lacks 3-5 points to best sprinters in PCT and even being fresh does not overcome it i think.
Congrats to Evonik!

This came unexpected to me. Did not expect PCM to create a sprint train for a 76 sprinter as it used to ignore those completely in the last few races.
But it`s great to see he is already delivering and still has it. |

Sure, but Lo Cicero has 78 and is fine, ditto Van Avermaet with 71. Anyway, in a couple of seasons I'll have two 80 sprint guys with 82 and 83 acceleration and then we'll see. Although this debate will be forgotten by then |

In two years, Guardini will be in Metinvest.
Also we will of course skip to new version, which will be probably screwed in different was, so aacelaration not working at all and all about sprint stat, or something like that.

Promising start! A second place was the best Pimin Lang could get.
Nice to see my doubts were unfoundet and there are stages that can be dominated by hilly sprinters.
